Flame DoT removal items: Flamethrowers have the ability to inflict fire DoT’s and currently, the only way to remove that DoT in PvP is to submerse a player avatar in a static body of water. The challenge is that Tatooine has only 1 very small body of water and on the swamp planet of Rori, it is possible for a player to have to run for more than 20 minutes to the nearest body of water. To give players a fair chance against this, Doctor’s can now craft Fire Blankets. Fire Blankets will give Doctors the ability to extinguish flame with a /extinguishflame command that will enable the use of the fire blanket. To balance out the Fire Blanket, using the blanket drains the “mind” of the doctor.

Flame removal should go to CMs not Doctors. CMs deal with more flames in and out of game than any other profession....

lol how about we make all these changes to combat for p v p but we will just look past the CM class at how they can STACK everything and bypass the 75% p v p reduction also what exactly can we wear to defend a diseae? i know i wear 80% plus composite to heat.

Pip, already asked why it couldn't be placed at Master Medic for more availability, that way docs AND CMs can have the ability.

Will keep at it though.

It just irks me that we are supposed to be the dominant healers in combat, yet we can't heal over half the "damage" that is incurred in combat. You want me to be a support class?

Doctor - Health Damage, Action Damage, Intimdated, Stunned, Dizzy, Blind, Bleeds, Poison, Disease, Wounds, Death, and now Fire

CM - Health Damage, Action Damage, Mind Damage, Bleeds, and Wounds

Haha..and unless we are docs or get docs to make our meds for us we heal health and action damage and wounds far, far less effectively then any doc out there ...which leaves us with bleeds and mind, well since docs heal bleeds as good as us and we don't get additional range for it that means our lone specialty is healing mind lol... gotta love our options in PvP.

I'll jump in on this one, as i'm in the know a bit more on the topic.

There are several other possible cures for fire, we may see all of them or none of them in the future (non-medical ones).

Remember FT will be rebalanced with all the other weapons in the Combat Rebalance (Soon TM), so it will not be as uber overall as it is now. Docs got it because we have state healing (and FT burn is a state).

There were concerns about it being too common if it got put in medic (say 2 boxes into medic, and everyone would have the cure, as Novice medic is real common) especially if several other methods also went in outside Doc's.

Master medic was brought up as an option... but I guess the devs went for the state cure angle.

I would not personally have any problem with Master Medic having the cure (and therefore CM).

Where in Doc this item is placed, has not been released. It may be a higher level skill. We haven't been told yet. If it is Novice Doc, moving it would nto be a big deal... a Box III or IV will be a bigger issue.

Bad Pappi.

No throwing the booze.

Drink the booze (or maybe use it to remove the old paint job on your droid).
