Thread: What's Better Pure Better Master Combat Medic or Combat Medic/Doctor combo?
As a master combat medic and a master doctor I can say I love the combination. I have just enough points left over to pick up Pistols 4 in the marksmen tree.
It is nice to be able to have the full range of healing and buffing abilities while still being able to contribute to the batttle. Even though combat medic poisons are weak in PvP they are still useful in weakening up an opponent, especially large opponents. It is also nice to be able to buff people before the fight and res people if the fight does not go so well.
CM is not a profession that is easily dabbled in. To use the most powerful poisons you have to master the profession. Doctor on the other hand still has some dabblibility. (I know that is not a word, I just made it up). In other words if you are interested in buffing, then you can go up that tier, if you want to res, you can go up that tier. There was a change recently that keeps you from using the best buffs unless you are master doctor, but if you can find the expiremented down buffs you can still do alright.
That is of course my opinion, others will vary.

I have the same exact template. What did you end up doing with the reamining 4 points? Since it was not enough to get any other tree I put 2 into rifles 1 and 2 into carbines 1.

Sorry to break it too you but if you do md/mcm you only have enough skill points to get level 4 in a ranged weapon line (from marksman) with 4 points left. That's 2 points short of novice pistol, rifle or carbine.

I use the extra points to farm apprenticeship points.
They are essentially useless, there is not a lot left that you can do with them.
/shrug. Republic Blaster with warningshot and suppressionfire is all you need to complement your poisons and diseases. Buffs and armor'll keep you alive long enough now.

Lol, drop Pistols 4.It's not *that* effective unless you have a Gorax FWG5 (or prenerf Krayt), or a Krayt RB. You just stack a crappy bleed on top of your poisons and spam bodyhit. I think it's much better to buff yourself, take some Brandy, put on your Advanced Composite Armor, toss Area Poison and Area Disease and stand there calmly until everything around you dies for your harvesting pleasure.

Bah, I have one of the best pistols on Gorath and a bunch of pistol accuracy and pistol speed attachements so Griggs has higher accuracy and speed than a mid-level pistoleer, and with my 505 max damage pre-nerf Krayt FWG I can hold my own
