I disease this guy today and the tick was fast and ruff but stopped at like 800 and never went any farther. I sent a tell to the guy but got no info. He was a little ticked at me.

So I diseased a friend and it blackend his bar in moments. So We got him healed and buffed and I diseased him an sure enought the disease stop at his normal points.

He has a health of 870 and after the buff he his health was 3072. I diseased him and the disease stopped at 869 points.

Now this stinks. It never touched his buffed stats! Now his battle fatigue kept going up but his buffed stats were un-touched.

Exactly. It was changed to prevent perma-incap. It's been like this for a while, but I forget exactly how long.

Llama and Rhen have it right. It does not touch buffed stats, as when the stats wore off, the player in question would end up perma-incapped. This was a bug a few people had a month or two back which the devs fixed because players were tired of laying on the ground for 12+ hours waiting for a CSR.

I thought that all DoT's were changed to stop when 1 stat unit was left, and would no longer incap.

The disease change has been around a while. It's the same even if you get wounds in PvE from disease or from sampling radioactive materials.

Yep, I had to verify this tonight myself and there was certainly a change to poisons.

My wife's character has 800 health. I diseased her with no buffs and the disease ticked down to 799 and stopped. Battle Fatigue continued but the damage stopped, as it should.

I then buffed her to 2281 health, and diseased her again. (Don't you just love when you can give your wife a disease and not get a divorce? Of course I digress here) Anyway the disease ticked to 799 points and then stopped cold. Battle fatigue continued to count, but the disease did no more damage.

Now I am not entirely sure that this was not the way it always was but I have never heard of this before. I have an idea why it is like this thought.

I could see a situation where if you were diseased and then lost a buff, the system would incapacitate you.

I am going to have to leave it up to the rest of you to tell me if this was a change or if it has always been this way. Judging by the number of people that are complaining about poison and disease together causing an incapacitation I would expect this isa change. If this is the case, then it was to stop the incapacitations from poison and disease, that is my next test and I will let you know how that works out.

Well the incap still works, nothing has changed there, if this was a change, then it was changed for a different reason that I am not aware of.

Maybe someone else can shed some light on it.
