Thread: You feel nerfed?

The latest patch took down range on the CM throws and disabled the use of havla in order to cast poisons and diseases more rapidly, along with the added cast time. Good or bad, whats your take on this?

more like fixed, this just means that we cannot throw at once per second from 90+ meters. Who the hell wants to be able to do that anyway?

Havla was a pure fix and I'm happy about it. Range needed a fix but I'm not happy with the way they implemented it. There were other ways of capping the range instead of swapping our range modifiers. Much better ways.....



This change probably increased the number of Combat Medic dabblers since the difference between a master and a lvl 4 is 7m.

Dunno if anyone else has noticed this, but both Combat Medicine Use and Effectiveness Skill Tapes/Attachments appear to have simply been disabled. So to answer the question, Do I feel Nerfed? No, Have I been Robbed of almost 3 Mil, Yes - if anyone knows of another professioin they've just decided to take the attachments away from please let me know, I'd be willing to found a support group

Havla fix: no complaints.


Range nerf--yes, it is a nerf. Getting one--just one--throw in on a jedi on Force Run: near impossible. A little re-adjustment might be in order.

I'm with Brain, range fix was needed and wanted but sloppily implemented.

BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

I agree that the range fix was pretty shoddily done. Had they announced a month in advance that they were going to fix it, and then asked us for input, they would have gotten 5-10 formulae for the range that would all have been better than the current one. However...that being said, both of these were fixes of arguably game-breaking bugs.

Can someone explain to me exactly how range was changed? I haven't really noticed a change in how far I can throw.

Range used to be double the value on the pack, for master CM. Now a master CM with a 48m pack can throw 62-64m max.


There have been many threads on the topic, including various tests, and deriving the new mathematical formula for the range.

I never thought to test it out and have not done enough healing lately, but does the Havla still work for the ranged and area stims? I guess you can just call me lazy for not logging in to try it.
