Thread: what should i harvest
Herbivore Meat, Fungi, Lokian Wild Wheat, Class 4 Liquid Petro Fuel (LPF), Class 2 LPF, Tatooinian and Yavinian Fiberplast, Dolovite Iron, Dantooine Berries... I know i'm missing some.
Overall Quality and Potential Energy are the stats you want, until they implement the patch that will make Decay Resistance and Overall Qualty the main stats later sometime.
Overall Quality and Decay Resistance will only be used for the CM poison/disease components
your stim components will still use Overall Quality and Potential Energy
just wanted to make it clear for the New CM's
I categorize resources into4 categories -
1) Rare - this is stuff that isn't always available on you server and includes Class 1 radioactive, Class 2 and 4 liquid petro, dolovite iron, tolium reactive gas, eleton reactive gas, and titanium aluminum.
2) Planet-specific - these are things that are normally always available, but only on a specific planet. This includes Dantooine berries, Talusian water, Lokian wild wheat, Tatooinian fiberplast, and Yavinian fiberplast.
3) Common essentials - these are items that you need, but are always (or almost always) available on every planet. These include fungus, domesticated oats, reactive gas, aluminum, etc.
4) Common non-essentials - these are items that can often be used when for the generic "organic" or "non-ferrous metal" slots
I would start focusing on #1 or #2. If you want to get immediate benefit, do category 2 first since ALS and ABEC will make a big difference on your stims. It will also give you a product (standard stim-Bs) that you can easily sell. If you are well-funded and have a long-term view, you can go after category 1 first, since it's very annoying to reach master and find out you can't make any of the advanced poison sub-components. I spend about 40% of my time harvesting category 1, 40% in category 2, 20% in category 3 and I only go aftercategory 4if something really excellent pops up (like a 980+ OQ and 980+ PE organic). Normally I will use my category 2 and 3 stuff to fill the generic slots (but there are those exceptional resources that occasionally appear).
In any case, use www.swgcraft.com to see what is available on your server and the quality so you can make an informed choice on what to chase first.
