Ok this is to all the Master CM and Doc out there i guess. I am one box of solid grind from Master Combat Medic with no Doc skills at all. i was teamed with a doc so i went heavy into th carbine line (2 full lines) to make myself effective in damage output for the group. I havent used much in teh ways of poisons as i grind on stims for offworld hunts.

I have recently lost the aid of my doc and wanted to consider masterign doc and cm, but that only leaves points for one weapon skill to specialist and no scout ability at all. I dotn pvp much at all.....yet. I also do not want to become a gimp for I love using crippling shot and my damage is amazing with my sliced laser. Then comes teh scout aspect where i will lose my masked scent and prolly will get detected non stop. Most everyone doesnt have the high camo like a Ranger does it even matter on the higher worlds? I can afford to lose explore since they recently added terrain nego to cm support so hilltop runs wotn be an issue. I see alot of post by docs/cm and they love it, what do you guys suggest for cm that loves his role and the damage he does with this weapon cause in the end we are suppose to be COMBAT MEDICS arent we?

CM/DR is the only way to go! Don't worry about a weapon, as you wont have enough pts left over to get anything worth it. Your going to be too busy healing and poisoning and buffing to think about a weapon anyway.

CM/DR most valuable class in a group, if you play it well and experiment and research to make sure you have best meds and poisons you can get, you will be devistating...

Ok now one last question weaponry........i love the carbine at the moment cause of the knockdowns i get and teh bleeds couple that with crippleshot and theres is some great damage if i give up all advanced skills in weapons adn just be a specilist (enought to master doc/cm /medic and ranged supprt adn one weapon to spec) do i drop car for pistol...if so why??????? carb has some attacks at least at low lvls where i never saw much of a use for tumble to kneel or flip up to stand or whatever they get

1: u wont have enough time to fight

2: u wont be a that valuable addition with combat skills... they can miss you... more healing = better

I was going to ask for the same advice, but you had already answered it. My next question is as follows, why would you go full doctor when you can get 2 of the best things a doctor has to offer by mastering 2 lines (as far as a combat medic is concerned)?

ok so if you master doc and medic it is the same point left overs and a bh has the magic number of 18 what do u suggest to spend those last points on once you commit to a skill its 15 points for the novice and one skill to lvl 1 leavign one point left over any suggestiosn or help be greatly appreciated also if you do forgo weapons dotn u guys hold a pistol or a sword or something to auto attack?

my idea was artisan to find resources for harveys or scout ( but cant use mask anyway and we get a run burst now) pistol/rifle/car/unarmed any typebut any lvl one skill sucks so artisan seems to be the teh way to go

I suggest going Master Doc instead of only getting 2 of the skills maxed out, that way, you can make the best components for your CM stims. If you are in a decent PA, you should have no problem obtaining resources, as they should be bring you what you need left and right for you using it on them. If they dont, start charging for your services. I am currently a MCM, and halfway to Master Doc. I rarely use my pistol skills, only reason I have them is so I can run AND shoot at the same time. Beginning survey kinda is lame, would rather have scout for the harvest ability. Let one of the artisans who has survey 4 look for your resources. Fosters the whole group thing. My 2 cents.

Hey

If you want to be Master CM and dabble in doc I can heartily recommend doing 0 4 3 0 in Doctor line

This gives you Revive and Buff. I can with a good enhance D pack buff up to 2k. This makes you wanted in groups etc, but also and really good soloer PvE and PvP

Also its frees you up to pursue some weapon line, i am 0 0 4 3 in pistoleer.

And shhh but when you play like this for 2-3 weeks you can make an instant change to pistol BH PvP in like a couple of hours.

Some of the suggestions for not going all the way on doc, or just doing enough for revives and buffs are ok for PvE, but if youre going to be doing much pvp at all, youre going to run into poisons and diseases sometime or another. So if youre going to bother doing doc at all, you should go all the way or not at all. Being a master of both professions is great, I can area heal everybody, cure anything, revive corpses, rebuff at need. And I dont need to pay anybody to make anything.

I have tier 4 on pistol, simply because fwg5's are one of the easiest weapons to come across, and one of the best close in weapons. If you hunt alot, most of the fight is going to happen around the mob, and if you are around 20m away (primary pistol range) you are going to be fine for throwing stims at anybody fighting it. I also use pistol forsoloing with the high speed, complementary bleed / poison damage for health in pve. Pistol specials dont use hardly any mind (7 for bodyshot 2) unlike rifle specials, and I dont use any action poisons at all so I dont use carbine.

I save the mind poisons for group PvP, when I dont use my pistol at all because it delays healing speeds. In pvp I use everything at one point in time. Cure poisons, throw poisons, revives, heals. Using a weapon just delays actions.

In solo pvp, if you are a CM without poison cures, you are vulnerable tootherCM's poisons (youre just playing the resist game then). If you have cure poison from your doctor tree (Cure-C's require Master Doctor) then that master CM wontdo hardly anything to you other than the cost of curing his poison before it ticks. With your own self buffs and a handy mind poison on them, theyre in serious trouble. Being a self buffed healing Master CM/Doctor, the only classes that should be able to get you killed before you can kill them are BH's and Riflemen. If you wear a composite helm and/or use foodand spice Im sure you couldeasily survive a BH, but a Rifleman's mindbleeds and headshots willincap you quick unless you poison and run, or close in to melee range and plink away with your pistol. A T21 hurts. My only advice for melees is poison and run. If they cant touch you, they cant hurt you. Just remember where your stand macro is.

Not preparing with buffs is like asking for a 50/50 chance of losing to the first masterelite that comes along. You might get them with your poison, but probably not until after they deathblow you.

i think you should take up some form of defense - be it weapons, unarmed or pets. this will become even more important to us should those complaining thatour poisonsbe nerfed suceed. personally, i like pets because it allows me to tackle bigger mobs. by my calculations, after lvl'ng to MCM, i will have enough points for CH 4/4/0/0. This gives me a gnarled rancor (at least) and asidearmwith a few points to spare.
