Thread: CM tapes...worthless?

So i have +25 medical warfare, and working on bio suppression (got +17 so far) i see no increased duration, no increased damage on dots....maybe just MAYBE a higher stick rate on teh dots...but the debuffs stick 100% anyway so bio suppression seems pointless....anyone got any feedback?

The medical warfare tapes will help you apply more often. I occasionally get a miss with +25 but thats much more rare than before I had it. Haven't done any hard testing with bio-suppression tapes although the word is that they are supposed to increase the duration of our debuffs.

If you cantry doing a small test first with then without your +25 bio suppression clothing and post the results here. This could be a bug from the patch or is working as intended but either way we're all curious to know the outcome.

Badger,
Could you run a test with just the enhancer and no attachments? I am one of those 0004 CM guys that would like to be able to use the novice DOT. I figured I would try to get some tapes and enhancers. Looks like from your tests it might work for me (granted you have a much higher level CM temp).

You have MWE +10 at 0/0/0/4, Enhancers wont help much at all.

2 fails without the enhancers and 0 fails with the enhancers. Its tempting to say that they help accuracy but I'd want more testing done before I admit it. 2 just isn't enough.

However, you did a very good job showing the MWE does help applications. Great job

I agree, you'd need a much larger sample for accurate info, but I felt my guildmate had been set on fire enough for one night.

Just to turn those tests into results.

Including misses as 0 damage attacks.

1. With 125 MWE, no enhancer: Avg Damage 290.1 (2 misses)

2. With 100 MWE, no enhancer: Avg Damge 175.1 (6 misses)

3. With 125 MWE and +750 enhancer: Avg Damage 269.9

Disregarding misses. Average Damage per hit:

1. With 125 MWE, no enhancer: Avg Damage 241.3

2. With 100 MWE, no enhancer: Avg Damge 239.5

3. With 125 MWE and +750 enhancer: Avg Damage 269.9

------------

So it appears tapes do make a difference and affect how many times you hit, but clearly don't increase the hit amount.

How many times did you toss for each test?

I didn't test. I simply collated the results above. In any case, it was 20 times each way.
