I'm considering CM but have a simple question. I've been looking on the forums and can't find this.

What kind of xp do you get for using poisions and disease?

Thanks.

You actually get 2 types of xp from applying either of the following. When you initially apply the posion or disease you get medical XP.. which will help you go up 2 of the blocks. Than you will get combat XP once you actually kill the creature.... now the Combat XP depends on how long it takes you to kill that creature/NPC..how many ticks gets applied prior it dieing .... that's really about it... you also get rediuclous med XP for your range stim area's... actually it's a fun easy way up the treee...well except for the damn crafting portion.

You no longer get Combat Exp when using Combat Medic, that stopped with this new patch.

AS OF THE IMPERIAL CRACKDOWN PATCH:

you will get med xp for applying the initial poison, however the damage that the poison does from there on does not give you xp OF ANY TYPE. so it does not work like bleeds to transfer to the weapon you use and it does not work like grenades to yield combat xp (anymore-really sore about this)

Thanks.

Poisoning AND diseasing lairs works quite well. Your xp will go by the amount of dmg per tick you do, which is based on the poison/disease and your skill, so go up Support first which you should do anyway to get the Area B's, then spam away. Works good on durnis, paralopes, gorgs...even if they just have 1 mind left, you still get the xp. Rinse and repeat, train up the Distance line, then Speed.

Crafting is quite a grind, you can macro it although I personally have not. ABEC's give optimum xp per time so you'll need Lok Wheat and Tat fiberplast, and plenty of it.

However, if you're looking for a class devoid of PvP whiners, this is a pretty bad one. The nerf calls are unbelievable.

it's really not necessary to grind med xp as a CM if you don't want to. as soon as you can use AoE stims, buy some from a MCM and go out hunting with friends. back when i was still working on xp, i went krayt hunting with a big group... i got 3 boxes from a tree just from that hunt
