Thread: give master cm's more range on healing and dot attacks
the problem others are having is not the same problem you are having. like you i have trouble throwing from more than 45m BUT there are exploiters out there who can throw from 90m
along with the distance issue is the suicide bomber mentality. players will put on their worst clothing, drop ANY valuable items in their house or PA Hall and JUST carry poisons and diseases into battle. no weapon no nothing so they do not have to worry about death decay. then they just run in and toss poisons and diseases untill someone kills them. they clone, and come running back in and start the cycle all over again with no reguard for death or even for having fun in the game. they have one goal and one goal only....POISON and DISEASE as many players as they can. sounds like fun eh?
SO, you get poison + disease = incap + poison / disease = incap + the suicide bomber mentality and you can end up with a powerful killing machine that is entirely unconcerned with being killed and cloning OVER and OVER and OVER.

90m throws aren't exploits. Only Master CMs canthrow at96m. Those MCMswho can do that have farmed for months to achieve that range. Or they bought poisons from other CMs who have at a very expensive price. While the range may be far, the damage is lowered. My 96m AE Mind Melt only does 200 dmg a tic...My 76m AE Mind Melt does about 400 dmg a tic....I've lost over half the damage just to gain an extra 20m. Very fair tradeoff imho.

A smarter CM will live through his attacks...

Once you know the CM is going to do that and who they are you need to have some discipline to not DB them. Try and keep them out of the fightas much as possible. Too many of your teammates are greedy for faction and just DB randomly instead of using their brains. Keep the CM out of the fight by any means necessarry. Use your own CMs to attack them with poison and make sure the healers minds are well diseased, exspecially the CM. If he's got no mind, he's useless...
G,
not sure if you have seen any of my other posts, but i agree with you 100%, i was trying to explain what the Nerf criers are going to tell the original poster when they see a thread actually asking for more range.
i am of the school of thought that YES bugs need to be fixed, but rather than nerf every effective class down to the level of the most broken class, i would like to see the broken classes fixed and brought up to the level of the classes that work well (TKA, RIfleman, Swordsman, Fencer, Smuggler, etc.)
i am at work at the moment so i cannot go into great detail, but i totally agree with your position on SMART MCMs vs. Suicide Bombers and most of the rest of your points. i was trying to point out that we get so many cries for nerfs because of the suicide bomber players.
the pre-nerf poisons and diseases (if salvaged) will be considered exploits by those they are used against because the patch was suppost to 'fix' the range and place it at 64m like everyone else. i personally would not use any of the long range if i had any, but that is just my feeling on the issue.
at any rate i have patients to look after. thanks for taking the time to explain your thoughts rather than just flame, it is so much easier to start a post the wrong way and have it get out of hand.
