Thread: PvP preference: Range or Eff?
Um, both...
For anything I throw a lot of in PvP, I'll keep a long range and a high-power version (of cours the high power still works out to a base range of 64m or so). There are occasionally needs for both.
I like to get the range to at least 30 or so before putting everything else into effectiveness..
Range can be a HUGE factor in fighting, especially the melees..

The same could be said if you had limited resources to increase Effectiveness or Potency. Range is still a killer though.

Like I said, only if you got some DAMN good subcomponents. My 313 eff. C's only have a 30 range on them and my stuff is pretty good. That 80+ stuff I've beaten off with brandy alone and is usually weak as hell. Psych factor is still a big issue since I get nervous when the skull and crossbones pops up on my tag..just as bad as dizzy.

My high Powered have a base of 40m, so that is 80m, without experimenting at all into range. I use long range ones as well that go 96, usually areas and still tick for over 330.

I personally destroyed a raid with a 200 tic 96m AE Mind poison. You want to talk about Psych factor? There it is...Onlything worse than seeing the skull 'n crssbones come on your status bar is when it pops when your totally out of range of the CM. My Cs are 300 eff with a base range of 40m. The 26 pt diff in eff won't make a diff to me if I hit you with mine first. All of my stuff has high range because the ADMs I make are experimented for charges first and area second. The funny thing is I've seen plenty of CMs make stuff that is 36 charge 32m base and I know they used an ADM that was experimented for area not charges. Make your ADM deadly and the meds you make with that ADM will be deadlier.
so 366 eff abd 36 range is perfect in my opinion
also has 126% potency
