Honestly, not a lot of CMs on Flurry that I have seen. I know of more that have retired than are active. I also suspect that the PvP crowd on Flurry adapted very quickly to CMs compared to some of the other servers, at least from my own experience

Honestly, in my limited PvP experience, most players are not flamers. Assuming you aren't intentionally griefing them (such as triple incapping, when you can clearly deathblow), most players view combat medics as a part of the game (for better or worse) and leave it at that. It's just that the few that do complain are so much more vocal than the ones that don't, and what random pistoleer is going to come to the forums and say "I just was killed by a combat medic, but that was alright"?

(I was *this* close to posting a semi-cleverjoke about adapting to combat medics, but then decided that it was too insulting and was likely to start another nerf CM thread... )

The biggest problem with the real world, and with the developers is...

The squeeky wheel gets the grease.

When players cry nerf, those who cry loudest usually get what they want because the developers sadly mistake how loud a small group of complains is for a large group of logical people/

All theflamersmust've all moved to Shadowfire. We regularly double incap the known truly potent CMs and db at the last second or just let them triple incap and incur decay. I've never personally sent a hate-tell or flame, but enough imp CMs I know have gotten them on a regular basis.

Sure we've got the whole doc per group of 3 in effect in planned raids, but I think we figure if the life of a CM is hard enough, they'll quit and PvP'll be more interesting. It'll also make doc less of a necessary profession. Seriously, 1/3 to 1/4of the PvPers of a server being doc to counteract a few CMS per raid is a little ridiculous (which is what it would require on SF).

/salute to those on Flurry. Gj on finding a way to deal with CMs.

How matter-of-factly you say this, like it's just part of the game, just a "tactic" to force CMs to quit their profession. No big deal. Well I do believe it's called griefing. And before anyone says it, I realize that some CMs aren't known for their honor, with stacking disease and poison causing a triple incap. But you're no better doing what you're doing. For the record, I am not a CM, I simply feel compelled to post regarding this silliness. People constantly cry to NERF THE CMS, they're overpowered... blah freakin blah. Griefing the heck out of them isn't going to solve your weaknesses against CMs, it's only making you look like an ass.

The question is..... do you have a lot of crafting/businessmen type CMs? If you have a lot of CMs who are mostly in it for the crafting turning out pricey and VERY high quality poisons and diseases for the masses, your CM population will jump in a heck of a hurry, because it's an incredibly easy prof to master, use, and win with...... it's the crafting that most people don't want to mess with. Get into a server with a large supply of dedicated CM crafters, and see your server go to hell in a handbasket within weeks from gtefing CMs dropping whole groups in short order. This leads to everyone trying to scrape a little doc or a little CM into their build, and the fights really start to stink.

/shrug. I just really feel if more people had to craft you wouldn't see nearly the number of CMs and half of them wouldn't have all that great of offensive packs either.

Only know of one well advertised vendor at the moment (>300 eff C poisons)....but he sells better than average stuff. there are some others that I have run across, but half of them aren't too good i.e. potency > effectiveness on C poisons. I myself have hit over 350 effectiveness, but don't have the moxy to open a shop beinging the chief resource guy for one of the oldest smiths on our server ( he covets our titanium aluminum, my precious.)

/ponders the value of his 900+ oq/pe/dr fungus.

On a secondary note....Flurry has only had one spawn of class 1 radio since July. and i have yet to see >900oq Yavin fiber with a DR>200....We have had some outstanding class 2, tolium and titanium in the past...eleton has been mediocre to good at the best.

Try gorath, can't kill someone with poisons without getting called "Fotm **edit**" (Even after being CM for over a half year) Or "a$$hole just wait till you get nerfed".

It usually comes from the various def stack professions who sure get pissed when they get killed by a CM.
You get used to it after awhile. Same with all the "I have reportet you for using diease and poison the same time , for killing me while I Was afk overt, because you used area poisons, because you killed me etc" I'm not joking there, it has actually happen.

Just grin and move along, knowing you are the victor.
