Thread: Thank God for the token respec....
Hey, it's been fun for a short bit...but...ummm....CM needs some fixes, and if I know the Devs, that ain't gonna happen for a while. I'm really sad as well...I've been a part of the Big four for so long, I was really hoping for a change.
If you get KD'd with a move queued up that usually happens, its a bug.
Can't say I've seen any CM specific problems with being KD'd.

I find I have to tap my recoveries macro a couple of times to get up when I get that message, used to annoy me but I seem to be able to get up from it ok now.

I had never had a problem with KD recovery UNTIL I started using CM skills. I was overt last night in an effort to PvP. I decided to do some "real situation" testing (rather then have my Jedi friend KD me before and after I used CM skills, to see where the problem was). Once again, I had NO problem when I used basic BH attacks (Adv Crit, torso, underhand)...I would pop right back like the rest of them...but as soon as I used para or "debuffs"...I was on my way to a 30 second "time out" on my back. I DO believe the bug is intertwinded with CM skills.
I have always been a MBH, mixing in the other BIG 3. Even after all the respecs, I kept my MBH, and I have fought quite a bit witht hat template (Post CU). It was only on my LAST respec, that I thought I would take the plunge into CM. Almost right away, I noticed THE PROBLEM
BTW, I never DID get up from the KD in that fight. I was KDed ONCE and the Jedi got the incap....just a friendly "test" duel.

A couple morepresses of that usually gets me up when I get the "You cannot use Knockdown recovery while Knocked Down" message the first time.

Excuse me for stating what must be obvious to everyone else, but I just started doing the following after playing since launch. It's like I'm playing a new game all of a sudden.
I've started to bind macros to little-used keys on the keypad, specifically the + and Enter keys. They served no purpose for me before, but now they hold my KDRecovery macro (which looks similar to the one posted above, although I do dizzy recovery first and have a pause 0.1 between each) and my DuelistStance macro (non-recursive). This saves two spots on the toolbar that I can use for other junk.
I believe you can actually remap nearly any key on the keyboard to a macro if you use some modal chat or something. I haven't needed to do that yet with other useless numpad keys waiting to be bound, but people seem to have done so with success.
Just a little tip, hope you find it useful.

That's how I've had my UI setup since my first couple of weeks in SWG. Theres a guide on how to set it up, as well as a macros.txt file in my sig.
It certainly is a lot better than using a toolbar for special moves, I whince whenever I read someone say "I'll try to find room in my toolbar for that move". ![]()
can't believe i never thought of macroing keys..... also i'll have to setup that simple macro... clear up some room on the toolbar...
and yes, hate that bug where you get stuck on your back forever... actually happend to me once during a rez, quite funny
