I saw a remark about factory made componets not helping in the finished product. So does that mean I should just make crap factory componets?

Dam I have been running around getting the best quality resouces and experimenting to make the best stuff I can out of my factory!!! IF ITS NOT HELPING AT ALL THIS GAME IS WASTING MY TIME LIKE MAD!!!!
