how about this idea to prevent people from dabbling in medic and becomming mildly insane in pvp. in pvp-only combat, insert the time delay for healing into the combat queue entirely. doing so would prevent novice medics from healing themselves and fighting right thereafter, thus preventing pvp dabbling in novice medic with stimBs and saving that for a high level medic class. a cooldown timer inserted into the combat queue also keeps novice meds (aspiring CMs perhaps) in the field where they want to be...

please remember, this isa pvp timer only, not a pve timer. just helps give definition to classes instead of allowing people to be jacks of all traits like they currently are.

your thoughts?

It really doesnt matter if its PvE or PVP. I belive it might be even easier to implement if its a general change. The main problem is the combat que/healing interaction and we definetely should get more benefits from the healing speed branch. This would solve "stim's B dabbing in pvp" issue.

The only reason why people are "dabbaling" in medic tree is because there isn't enough medics that travel in hunting partys. I go out in a hunt, and I swear I'm the only person healing everyone. Leaves little to be desired when my main goal is to get weapon experience... So we have all the people that haven't maxed their skills yet so they chose to use medic skills to heal themselves in battle, just as they choose to use scout skills to make the run to and from town quicker. I know I do. But when it comes down to chosing to max my primary skills Combat Medic and Rifleman, I will end up surrendering the Scout tree. I would only assume once everyone advances to the top of their skills they will surrender medic and put it into something else more advantagous to them. As I am doin right now, the last few weeks I've put a bunch of points into Doctor, so I can revive party members and also enhance. But when I finally get the 350,000 rifle Xp for the next rifleman skill, I will slowly surrender the entire doctor tree so I can eventually become Master Rifleman as well. It does weaken a fighter to have 20 some odd skill points used in medic stuff, when they can use it in a higher tree. But this is just my opinion

do you pvp at all mike? it might be different on your server, but on mine, every other person is a novice medic toting around stim Bs with 400 base heal and stimming themselves full in one shot when they get low. maybe its just my community, but the situation is rampant on bloodfin...

you want to tell me, the PvP Server Bloodfinn is not all about BH/Rifleman and ATST/Grauls?

anyway, yes i think, the heal should end up in the combat queue. but for that, the injury treatment speed would need to work for selfheals which it doesn't (incl. /firstaid)

this is just my personal opinion, but that is one of the worst proposals i have heard on this forum so far.

Keep in mind that i am not trying to be insulting- i just disagree with that idea.

The reason i don't think they should implement that is that the healing system is fine withmost peopleas it is- My character is more Combat than Medic, although i am a master CM and not Master Rifleman yet. Let me explain a bit:

When my group enters a fight, i have the ability to deal thousands of damage to multiple targets with Flushing Shot 2 (Rifleman skill), I also have the ability to heal the entire group with pumped-upArea stim C's.

Both of these skills are worth too much to the group for me not to use either one of the two. In other words, i would never stop healing people because that is my job, and i would never stop shooting peoplebecause i can help end the fight sooner- Thebest part about that is combination of the two-i canthrow an area heal, and then immediately blast some targets, reposition for another heal, and blast some more without delay.

If healing were put on the combat timer,I and many otherswould no longer be nearly as effective in our group roles.

And i don't want to hear anything about how i shouldn't be allowed to do both, because i have workedhard for hours and hours to get where my character is right now-The developersgave me enoughskill points specialize in both healing and hurting; it's part of the game, and therefore i should be able to do it... and so should everyone else for that matter.

Honestly, if someone hitting themselves with a stim B in PVP is enough to cause you to lose, your character probably isnt ready for PVP yet. That is not an insult, its the truth- my character used to get his ass handed to him 9 times out of 10 when i first started PVP, because i wasn't ready to compete with masters of various professions.

Plus, if you are a master combat medic, or even just master regular-medic, you should be able to hit yourself up for 3 times as much health when you need it with stim D's, etc.

Just a thought. Thanks for reading this.
