Onto the questions/suggestions
Are you in a group? Is your group in combat while your healing?
I'm not sure how this works but you may end up faring better by using your DOT's & states on creatures while in a group. I would imagine since our heals are so poor we might get better xp by using our other specials.
Provided it's true we can use deut toss to get xp I wonder if you get it per throw or per dead creature. Also would there be a difference in the number of throws vs the type of throws?
I.E. throwing all your states on 1 creature as opposed to throwing 1 on the same creature several times. Will one or the other give better xp?
Maybe someone else can chime in on that because I have no idea. Also can anyone confirm if you get xp by healing yourself while in combat? I'm going to try and lvl up tonight. (I just unlocked so was working on my alt before CU). I just hope I don't run into the same issues.
1 other question. I wonder if it makes any difference on the creature your attacking & wether that would give better or worse XP.
Now as for grinding. If you are in a group of 3 people and the other 2 are masters of a combat prof & both happen to be dueling, Will you get xp from that? That'd be 1 way to do it.
I just unlocked and was trying to get MCM tuesday night with my alt. I failed miserably and ended up with 4224 in medic so I'm in the same boat.

For the medical xp all you have to do is heal while grouped in combat. Help out with a DOT or debuff and keep the party healed and you'll get the same amount of medical xp as they do pistol, unarmed, whatever for killing said mob. If you pick up a weapon and throw down, your experience will be split, just as if they switched from pike to carbines. I'm not sure if CMs and Docs will get combat xp as well, or if that gets tossed on top of our medical.. hopefully the latter as we have no use for combat xp.
As far as CM/fencer, you could try a DOT like the chemical fire and then paralyze them. Not sure if they will be able to move when the damage ticks. I also like to have a heal set to my default attack (the description of bacta toss says I can heal myself, but I was unable to. anyone else?).
