Ive noticed most people mix this profession with either rifleman or doctor.
If anybody does use a melee combat profession with it,its always TKM, but ive never seen a CM+fencer/swdsman/piker.
Seems to me since rifles are prefered because of the mind-oriented dmg mixing well with the CM disease... wouldnt the head hits with a power hammer be just as beneficial minus the range? Is there a fundamental strategy I am missing here?

The only professions that can be mastered is a single ranged profession which leaves 4SP.
You can't master CM and an elite Brawler profession, and with the upcoming "Master-Level" weapons and dabbling getting the kibosh, most CMs are going to go Rifleman or Carbineer.
