Thread: Question for Pahadbacca on damage mitigation
Number14 on the balance/gameplay voting list for CM issues. I see that neither of you have voted on those sticky lists yet. I suggest that the best way to get mitigation would be to put it on our list. While you are there, ask me to put it into the wishlist later too, and I will do so.
Devs have never said anything about CM mitigation. It's going to be a fight to get it. I agree that we are due for a little love, considering that we've taken hits on DoT abilities two publishes in a row.
BHs, Commandos and Smugglers did not get any mitigation until this weekend on TC and we finally got Some dev response for those classes.I will ask on that thread about CMs getting some mitigation.
I saw in a thread on another forum that a skill called damage mitigation is being added to combat classes. My question is, will this be another instance in which Combat Medics are "combat" in name only? As it stands now, the poison nerf has made us much less useful than Doctors, who expend far less skill points than we do to reach Master. As a benefit, we ought to have some actual combat modifiers. Including Combat Medics in the classes that receive the damage mitigation skills would seem to be a step in the right direction.
I read that Smugglers will be receiving a little bit of both ranged and melee damage mitigation. I don't think it would be too much to expect that Combat Medics get similar treatement. What are you hearing from the Devs on this? Are we going to be left holding the bag again, or can we expect a little love?

As of several hours ago (last time I logged onto TC) we do not receive any damage mitigation from CM. Not sure if this will change or not, but I kinda doubt it as at least carbineer and pistoleer (didnt check rifleman/BH/Smuggler/etc) have theirs in the skill tree already. So yeah, once again we are combat in name only.
