Very simple... is it worth investing in armour or does the encumberance make it worthless?

Very much so, you should atleast get a helm that you have hotkeyed to put on/take off quick. I wear BP/legs 90% of the time Im running from one place to another and they are life savers definately. Only really take them off to buff others. At one point I invested in a full set, but found it to be too much encumberance, so Im back the the BP/legs and helm hotkeyedtrio.

I have a suit of HAM sliced very low Ham cost ubese. I wear that or low ham mabari for PvE or running out to the harvesters. PvP I have Ham sliced comp. With area stims I generally don't worry about secondary stats and regen rates for health and action. Pip is a Zabrak so I have pretty good willpower to regen my mind.

As a general rule,I wear armor whenever I am not in the med center or crafting.
