Thread: what happened to CM..A Nerf? I now tick for 43

I logged on today to play and an overt TKM was running around our city and al of the sudden i throw my disease since i have no combat skills to slow them down until reinforcments come only to watch the bar tick 43. What happened. did i miss something at the login screen for update note. so of the the TKM just laughed a killed me. Of all the professions they have to deal with they pick this one to nerf. TKM own the game. Since when has hand to hand cmbat been the strongerst way to fight in any of the star wars movies or books . i remeber a lot of ranged battles and lightsaber battles but if your a TKM you are basically unstoppable. Maybe thats why they dont mess with the profession because it is monopolized by all he PvP's. and somehow i get dizzy/KD from like 15m away. How long are there arms anyways. It's sickening and there aint jack i can do about it. i was working on master BH but stopped that because it was so buggy in the begining and then went on the hologrind. 1st holo master BE. then they fix BH. after i had to drop all of it. then 2nd holo master musician. so i had no combat skills at all. 3rd holo master CM. after doing that i found a profession that was cool and i could help my guild out in PvP. since i hate melee fighting and dont want to jump on the bandwagon and stay true to my fist profession marksman but after this i may have to go TKM/CM. i dont know just tired of getting my ass kicked by the same profession over and over. i hate TKM's

Why did you use a disease instead of a poison? Disease takes forever to tic (40 sec) and always has relatively low damage unless the victim has high BF. You should have started with a poison...

Well the TKM's got the stretch armstong treatment a few months back because they complained that ranged players were kiting them. Well yes they were and at the same time the devs gave melee classes a further reach the slowed down the walk/run/burst run speed of ranged players. When combat initiates ranged professions slow down to help prevent the kiting effect though they added KD/dizzy (which sticks over 90% of time without food buffs) to help them.


As for the tick, I know yesterday everything was going fine with poisons and disease and right now players are on the witch hunt to have CM's nerfed. The unfortunate truth is many players have absolutely 0 idea how our class works. Many do not grasp the concept of radius in area attack nor do they understand the rolling effect caused by chemical warfare. Add to this there is the total misunderstanding that we do more damage per second (DPS) though we're on a 10 second timer unlike the TKM who can land his spinning rawl in 1 second intervals.


For any non-CM players who come across this post it is the Geonosian Venom that make our poisons/disease so "god like". Under normal conditions and with the best resources we can come pretty close to building the same that any schmuck can using low quality junk with the Geo Venom. Though after putting thought into this, the best DXR-6 Rifle, disruptor pistol and scythe require the best loot from the Geonosian cave and can result in massive damage. Once again it's unfortunate that players yell for nerfs on what they cannot or refuse to understand.

there is food that reduces damage taken for a number of attacks, but I don't know if that effects CM DOTS

Sorry about your complaing about you getting owned by a TKA, I am a TKA and I can tell you I don't "OWN ALL" in PVP... Im not crappy either, I know tactics and I use them. I win alot but I lose alot. But this isn't the right forum...

You should have started with a poisen.

Was the TK meditating?


When meditating poisons/diseases are not always cured right away....but damage/tic will be lowered until actually cured.

80%+ vs Kinetic Composite armor. 30-40% vs. Kinetic PSG. Synthsteakaround 40% damage reduction. Thakitollo 80-90+ KD defense.


Doctor buffs and brandy...well, TKA is a joke. You'll regenerate faster than they can dish out damage.


Your funds may dictate what of the above you have at your disposal, but at least you have the options to pretty much negate anything they do via TKA skills.

People like you are the problem. I was TKM for about 3 month's and I can tell you that they don't own the game. You get beat and admitidly have no combat skill. What the hell did you expect? To through disease (which i have no idea why you would choose disease and only 1) and just sit there while the yell's atyou till you die from the verbal onslaught he brings you? Don't be an idot. They arn't the best prof in the game. i'm curntly a cm/rm cause they got a huge ninja nurf. Try and not attacking people if you can't fight.

IM not one to flame but your stupid tkm can be stopped anyone can beat one if you are two brawler elite masters you wont be kd'd that often, and if your a rifleman you just run around with a jawa......... i cant wait till the armor balance. and fencer is uber, and let me tell you on lowca we had a mass base battle and the cm's took downso many of use itwasnt funny, cm needs not to have the area poison just single target would make it fair. The new flavor of the week isnt tkm its cm/rifleman.

There is food that givs peoples resistance to poison/disease.

LOL. I love this post. First he whines about dieing while stating he has no combat skills, then complains about it being a TKM. Hmmm, lets see. CM Range = 90m. TKM Range = 10m. I may have to get out my calculater to figure out the difference here.
