Thread: CM subcomponent substitutes?

I'm a relatively new MCM, and have been experimenting working with the area poisons & diseases, as well as single diseases/poisons. I know that Rancor Bile can substitute for a Dispersal Mechanism, but I was wondering what other loots can work in CM meds? And where are they located (or what species drop them?)
Obviously Rancor Bile comes from rancors... I've had the most success getting it from enraged Rancors. But I've also heard about spider poisons used in CM meds. Which types of spiders? Gaping? Arachne? And is it specific to a certain sub-species? Another thing I head was that Janta blood could be used in making nasty diseases or poisons. Can anyone verify this? (I hung out in the Janta caves on Dantooine for a bit, no drops and all the magseal containers were either empty or locked... no blood) I've seen mind diseases take off an amazing -750 in one tick, completely rending a raid party useless on an Imperial fort. I'm not necessarily trying to replicate that, just learn what types of ingredients give you the most "bang" for the "buck".
One last question as well... when it comes to the non-ferrous metal casing of the poison or disease, are there certain types (copper vs. aluminum) that work better? And what stats (besides OQ) should I concentrate for on the non-ferrous? I'm already pretty familiar with the meat, fungi, and radioactive stats. Thanks to whoever can provide any kind of insight into any of these questions!

Spider Venom is used to replace the Infection Amplifier and only drops in the Geo Cave off the Fire Breathing Spider.
Janta Blood replaces Bio Effect Controllers. IMHO they are overkill for CM Healing. Best used by Doctors to make Buffpacks.
Look for High OQ and CD in the non ferrous you use. Generally aluminum does not have as high CD as copper but there are exceptions on some galaxies. I prefer to use copper and hit an 40m base without experimentation.
