Yeah, CM's are great to have on a group hunt. Especially if you have area heal stims. If you don't want to bother looking for resources or crafting, just look for a CM vendor on your server. But in short, we are very useful to a group hunt.

Minor addendum.....CM's rock as healers in group hunts....we are *not* damage dealers in PvE. If you're in a PvP group, I understand we're incredible....no idea personally....never been much of a PvP person. ;-)

I agree that we are phenomenal healers in a group. But we can deal out some damage in PvE with good poisons and diseases. However, a good group will most likely outdamage the CM's ability to damage by quite a bit

A CM is very usefull on a hunt full of noobs. A hunt with master elites who all have their sh't together won't need much more then the novice medic they each all have.

I find CM's awesome to have in a group!

By the way . . . what planet do the "kytrates" and "kyrates" spawn on? I am extremely interested in seeking these elusive creatures out!

Did you really have to be such an anus about that... anwyays. Ya, Cm's are way fun on group hunts.

When people have their stuff together, are buffed, armored, and brandied up - we are only needed when whatever animal is tanking gets hurt. This applies for most PvE. With Nightsisters or the like (high HAM, high damage mobs) we are usefull in keepingpeople on their feet when the tank inevitably runs out of mind, and for the /healmind we can do towards the end of the battle when everyone is coming down off of muon downers, or the brandy is wearing off.

In PvP, we are great, but any people you are up against will see those glowing balls of light and kill you ASAP anyway, you might as well do the poison and at least laugh all the way to the cloning center.

Yup yup, a good group must have a CM, without one it's just not a good efficent group IMO. It's a natural response of players to run around when they are being beat up badly, a doc with a healing range of 5 or so is gonna have a hard time keeping up with the person running around like a headless chicken. As a CM you couldn't care less if the guy is running the London marathon, one click, healed!

There are a range of creatures/NPCs which you will need a CM to take out. These usually fall into 'the end game' critters, elder nightsisters, nightspider elder, high end FS types, and the infamous Ancient Krayt etc etc.

I've found the combat medic is almost completely useless with all the uber Stim B's everyone has and novice medic. The lack of damagea CM does in PvE and no need to heal due to the above issue, CM is a pretty pointless class in PvE. PvP is pretty fun, if you like to die before you can get a second poison off.and still get hate tells for doing something your supposed to do. This game is soo trashed when World of Warcraft comes out anyway, it doesn't matter.

everyone will go to world of warcraft. Maybe SOE will be able to improve the server stability when they only have 2 servers to worry about, 1 for chat and 1 for swg.

Well, on my latest Krayt hunt if it were not for the 3 CM's in the 12 member party, everyone would have died rather quickly. There is a maximum of mind wounds you can take from /healmind, good brandy and dancer buffs will overcome the wounding. It helped having wookiee armor as well

How much damage can CM poisons/diseases do to a krayt in a group hunt? I've heard some talk about the diseases causing more and more damage as time goes by. How does that work?

If the damage is increasing from a disease it is most likely because of Battle Fatigue. So I can see this happening in PvP, but unsure of PvE. In PvE hunting, we can easily due heavy damage to a Krayt. My guild just recently took down a Nightsister Elder in a relativly short time b/c of diseases and poisons.
