Thread: Thyroid Rupture: Useless in PvP? Also, Q about Shock, Enchancers, and Disease. . .

1. I'm guessing it only slows down the default attack, so much like DPS on a weapon, it has no value for or among those who like to use specials. Correct?

2. Does shock lower only def vs stun, dizzy, and blind?

3. I know that enhancers really improve the DOTs, but do they do much for the debuffs? Do they only increase duration, and by how much?

4. Since disease doesn't cause wounds, what does it do? Is it effective?

I can never remember to test this stuff until I'm in no position to test it.

TY

thyroid rupture is a great debuff to neutralize adrenal buffs and also jedi force speed. i have noticed changes between with or without thyroid rupture, im not sure - maybe its just me thinking there is a change.

im not sure about all the other questions

Thyroid Rupture definitely works in pvp. It slows your opponent's attacks down special or otherwise. To test it, have someone do it to you and notice how your timers take longer.

Thyroid Rupture is very important and effective in PvP. In a friendly duel the other night I did the standard paralyze, shock, thyroid, hemmorage, electrolyte, traumatize on my opponent and then hit her with fire and poison. Now I am a TKM/MCM and she is a Pistoleer, Smuggler and some BH so I knew I would be rooted/KD'd most of the fight, and I have to say it made a big difference in limiting her effectiveness as she certainly shot less often.

Thyroid Rupture is probably the most wonderful CM skill

Have to agree with those who say Thyroid is certainly effective in PvP.

Also, infect doesn't cause wounds, but it does lower their upper health limit for the duration fo the fight. I jsut with the tick was bigger, cuz it's barely noticeable now. It could in theory be quite useful in PvP because the opponent just sees a full health bar, not realized that the bar is much smaller than it was a few minutes ago.

If someone has MBH and MPistols, what would be a good CM mix 0004?

If you are hunting Jedi, don't bother with it. Paralyze is nice, but only 7 seconds at that level and breaks on damage. Further if you use thyroid you end up saving your opponent force, cuz he can't attack as much.

Just my opinion tho. You got Mpistols already, no need to get up that close to do your job.

So 4000 for the healing abilities would be a better call instead?

I used thyroid rupture the other night while pvping (TKM/CM/4-0-0-0 commando (extra defense)). Anyway yes it saves jedis force, but you also stack all your DOT stuff on them, and you can win a war a attrution. The jedi is forced to constantly use its force to heal. Mean while you hammer them with your normal attacks, if you can get a pistoleer to intimidate this jedi, whenever he attacks he wont cause much dmg to you, and he is still using the same amount of force. In the end i was running low on mind, he was running low on force. I dopped a spice and food, then finished him off.

That's all good for you boondock, but the original poster is only takign one tree in CM, so going at his question from an MCM standpoint doesn't really answer his question.
