I need some advice guys. I have a friend that is coming into the game for the first time and is going to take up combat medic. Is it worth it to master it? If so, what profession goes best? What would be a good all around template? Thanks for the help!

It's worth mastering, yes. DoT's actually stick at Master, and I suspect they will be made stronger in a later publish.

I've found TK/CM to be a good template. Excellent in groups (heal & tank), good in PvP (lots of debufs & massive defence) and ok in Solo (lack of damage really hurts). Both TK and CM are bound to get some Dev Loving sooner or later to fix the few bugs, and perhaps give each better damage.

Yes definately master...It's the only way you'll ever get your DOT's to stick like Kaylais said. The real advantage of cm is that is goes well with any profession that stems from the brawler/marksman trees. TKM for tanks/rifles for damage/pistols for crowd control seem to be the main choices, but the others can be just as effiective. Let him decide on a role and choose accordingly.

well juut to point out to anyone not used to counting every last bit of SP, CM might be more efficiant with ranged, because u already need the ranged tree in marksman of course.

CM+ranged is one of the comboes that lets you to have only 2 novices and 3 novice trees, enabling uwith only one more novice tree, to get 2-2.5 trees in yet another elite ranged prof.

the other option (other than pure brawler proffs) is CH/BH . here too with only3 novice trees and 2 novices u get the lvl 80 leaving u with more sp to spend...

yes i spent lots of time with the calculator lol.

ok cool TC finlay d/l ill be in tc a see if anyone is there

Mcm and Mpistols can pretty much solo anything in game within reason. I have personally taken out lvl 88 Black Sun guys. One of the best solo templates in my opnion.
