I am working on this too ... on 2 servers, I like it so much Nearly finished on one of them, just need the last box of pistols. The other needs 2 trees of Doc and a couple of pistols boxes. (Minus the HS boxes since I don't do Force stuff)


Great fun with this template.

I have noticed a lot of people are saying they are going MBH/MCM combo. But I was playing with the character builder and it doesn't appear to be possible to achive this combination? How are you all getting this? Thanks for any feedback

Make sure u are using the updated CU char builder. Its posible to be MCM/MBH and one tree in a ranged profesion.



On a second note I have a 0400 CM/ 0404 sabers/ 4000 healer /0240 defender /0004 enhancer and the only peopleI lose to are doc/tkms.

Thank you both Mattman7 and Zimal for your responses. I am new to the game and like to play a healer. But I also like to be able to hold my own occasionally becuase I often don't have to group with people due to my wacky 12 hour graveyard work schedual.

if you do a lot of solo, then maybe a doc templete might be better, heals are faster and heal more, plus you get self buffs....

although i'm completley impartial to cm so id say still get debuff tree

looking to change my template for more pvp, currently i am MCM/MP/Novice Doc,


is it best to go MCM/MP/Carbines 0440?


or is the extra healing in doc4 really worth it.

Master Carbineer/MCM/0400 BH.


In PvE (I rarely ever PvP), I start out by snaring my target at 50m then hitting it with critical shot or leg shot. once the creature has closed to 35m, I set it on fire and if it's still coming pretty slow drop back a few and poison it. Land a charge shot followed by leg shot. Once the creature closes (or slides, lol) to 10m, I hit it with debuffs to slow it down then paralyze so I can drop back again and finish it with my carbine.


When grouped, I pretty much start out the same then toss heals at the riflemen or use area taunt (bacta spray) to draw the aggro off the rest of the group and then it's heal mode after that. As the groups only medic, it's more about keeping the group alive than it is dishing out heavy damage. There are times, though, when I'mgrouped with certain people that I spend 80% of the time shooting and 20% healing.


Upside is good medium range damage and keeps me inbetween the riflemen and tanks making it easier to keep them healed.


Downside is draws lots of aggro and defense isn't as good as solid combat templates making it harder to keep myself healed.


Good offensive medic, decent tank against most mobs. One on One against CL78-82 mobs isn't hard and Two on One is manageable. It's when 3 or more flip out over the CM area taunt that pretty much puts me down for a quick nap.
