Nice how weve asked "how does something unrelated to server maintainnence could cause DOTs not to work?" The reponse from BadgerSmaker didnt really address the question. nice thx

Badger is NOT an SOE empleyee, he is a PLAYER, he volunteers as a correspondent for the pistoleer proffessions.

Basically a correspondent is someone who talks tous and organises lists of our top issues then passes them on and discusses those issues with SOE, he has no sway and no say with them, he has very little inner knowledge etc. and what he has passed on to us information wise is only what he has managed to wrangle out of the peole he talks to and not official in anyway.

GIVE HIM A BREAK

The fact that he is here feeding us information at all is a selfless act by himself, he isn't even our correspondent he is the pistoleer correspondent, he's helping us because he's a nice guy and likes to help, i wouldn't blame him if he turned round and said 'sod it i'm out of here' and left us to it, but he won't do that because he likes helping.

Pleas if you want to flame someone flame the devs not other players who like to help.

How the hell did they manage to screw up something completely un-related to server maintenance and city maintenance fees being turned off?

Well, they were editting a bit of code, and accidently opened up the part involving damage over time, Martin (one of the new devs) split some coffee on his keyboard and frantikly began to whack at the keys trying to get it off. In the progress he wrote "sdfgljsdflkjsd" and saved the file, breaking damage over time! That's how, and it's the truth!

As a doc i have something to add as well...

I was getting bleedattacked by NPC's, and well guess, lol it is not hurting me... lol

But however i could NOT remove it either with my bandage-skill... so i hope this will work again as well when DoTs are repaired...

It might work immidiately when DoTs are fixed, like it seems my 'healing' command doesn't recognize it now as a DoT.

Hope for you guys this gets fixed soon... But as well that my 'cure' will work then.

Badger is the most helpful guy on these forums , he knows a lot more than most people and is always rearing to help, He was the first person to slick his foot in yesterday when we discovered CM was borked, so anyone who flames or disrespects him should be set on fire.

I would hope that if anyone from soe reads this thread they can understand for a wholeprofession (atleast for those who pvp) this is pretty much a game breaking issue. Some sort of acknowledgement or status update would be appreciated.

Is it a high priority with a patch in 1-2 days.
Will it be rolled out in the next publish.
Will there be a future CM revamp.
Is it really a nerf.
Will I have to buy TOOW to fix it?

Just something would be helpful.

Not 100% sure but there are Visable timers now. I don't remmember seeing them in the past. I wounder if they were trying to add timers to CM/BH dots.

Is it a high priority with a patch in 1-2 days. Hmmmm - nah tbh
Will it be rolled out in the next publish. Again - I doubt it
Will there be a future CM revamp. Probably and it will have the same implementation schedule as the Smuggler revamp
Is it really a nerf. Ouch - busted!!
Will I have to buy TOOW to fix it? - Oooh what a good idea. Hotfix available by digital download, pre-order now, major credit cards accepted, free broken datapad with pre-orders

Just something would be helpful.

I have reported it for the Devs, in the meantime I suggest we wait for a hotfix.

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you don't mind, Psionic.

Latest news : The devs have started looking into this.

Guess no more jedi hunting with MCM/MBH till thats fixed. Big disadvantage, almost not possible.

I disagree i hunted a lvl 80 jedi tonight not knowing they were busted and still had him beat prior to 2 dragons jumping in.

as for Debuffs they seem to be still working after a bit of testing the only one that i can say with absolute though is paralyze

Bah no big deal, went from MCM/MBH/0400 Carbineer to Mrifle/MBH/4000 cm last night, takes like 4 hours to change a template lol so easy.

Not that it would do any good, they'll just run around for hours looking like Johnny Storm.

But yeah, Badger is probably one of the most knowledgable people around so you smacktards flaming him need to back off.

And to the smacktards rejoicing this obvious bug, not every single MCM in game is a flippin MBH. Some of us actually have it for group support roles and enjoy it immensely. CM is 50% of my offense with Pistoleer being the other 50%. Losing half of my offense is gamebreaking for me and others that are not MCM/MBH FOTM players. And not everyone PvPs, so crying to keep this nerfed kills every single PvE player that has MCM as part of their template. Quit thinking MCM is PvP only and realize that nerfing it because it has a chance of hurting you in PvP destroys it for those that don't PvP.

And the joke about the rifleman healing himself, classic. I got called lame among other choice words for using heals and debuffs in a fight, and the idiot that I was dueling was TK/Swords/Doc.I still want to see where it says in the EULA or anywhere that says we can't use our templates abilities in PvP.
