ahahahaha.....magic....combat medic like magic and not starwars like...what are you thinking. don't you remember when han solo poisoned boba fett in return of the jedi??? how do yo think the storm troopers wiped out all those rebels so fast in episode 4... yup that's right..with area poison!! comon get real, this whole prof doesn't belong in starwars imo. why don't you guys take a poll of all the other combat profs, and ask them if they like the idea of combat meds running around dot ing everyone, or don't like it. how bout this idea..lets take disease, poison and fire out of the game. yup i like that idea. what do you think?

Just make sure we get back our ranged area heals and I'll stay CM. I'm in the minority though.

What will become of all the crafted non health poisons and diseases we have already crafted? what shall become of our venoms that havent been crafted ?what of venoms? and what will happen to the 12 point CM exp.assembly clothes that we have all consumed countless hours and millions to obtain? It was my understanding this was a "combat" upgrade...it appearsSOE should have released Starwars 2or simply addresed damage from weapons and armor. Shame on the communist SWG devs for this guise of an unsolicited "downgrade" that may very well mean the demise of SWG. The devs have blatantly disregarded the hours of our lives that we had investedand most likelyhave now wasted.Please address the above questionsand im sorry for the rant..actually ...no im not...thanks for nuthin SOE!

i hate crafting


the only reason why i have never mastered doc or cm is becasue of the crafting lines


i dont want to waste my gametime looking around for resources or collecting stuff from harvestors nor do i care about blue rugs


i want to pvp and this will let me do that without having to spend so much time stocking up on meds/poisions/cures

Hehe combat role for a CM besides being useless i dont see a role for us.

I'm not a combat medic, but here's an idea thatmight remove the apparent "feel" of using mana or using the force for all medic professions..


Unless I'm mistaken, medical forage has been removed.. Add it back at novice medic, add a medic's kit, doctor's kit and combat medic's kit to the game which is required to use the abilities.. it never disappears but it does have charges.. say 500? when it gets to 0 charges, you use medical forage, throw what you get into the kit and it's recharged. Simple, shouldn't take any time away..


This is for immersion only, and could be something to consider after the CU is live.

I'm lost now .. please let me explain why.

1/ CU will remove "real" area stuffs from CM
This was our main goal .. _AREA_ (no point blank arent area)

2/ What about XP, faction points and loots
Now, if you go on the field, you get medical XP from heals / poisons, but you dont have any factions points, dont give any loot rights.
This will be changed ?

3/ Money ?
My main source of revenue is CM crafting, as we dont have any other source of revenue .. yes groups heals are (usually) free
As they'll remove crafting, what we can do now ??

4/ Magic
I hate magic .. if I'll some, I'll play WoW or similar game.

5/ If stuff will not change, I think we'll loose many CM to switch to a "real" profession, where you can get all the needed stuff (FP, XP, area come from medic and money)

I might be wrong on this but the other night when I was on TC5 I noticed that in the marksman tree that it looked like you had to have pistols 4 to get CM open along with medic CM line and ranged support. Anyone have any info on this...would hate to drop rifles for pistols.

Because we dont know how the CU will come online, dont take pistol now, maybe you'll be allowed to swap some of your skills.

well the pistol 4 tree will make sense as u get the new Alliance Disruptor pistol certification as Master CM - and this beauty has nearly the same stats as the DE-10 on TC. in exchange u only need one line of Medic skills now.

that means u need nearly the same prerequisites for pistoleer and CM making it a nice combo choice.

so if this really goes live like this i will change my profile to Master CM/Master Pistoleer - leaving enough skillpoints for the entire BH pistol tree (with knockdown and dizzy shots!).

If you want, the CU is up on TC-5 right now. I started it last night and it looks decent. We get some pretty cool skills and the like along with a rez. I reccomend going there and signing up with a character if you can.
