To experiment you need a specialized crafting tool (Food/Chem) and a Food/Chem crafting station. A public, private, or droid crafting station will work. Keep in mind higher level meds REQUIRE a private crafting station, so you will want one eventually, or want to find someone who has a house with one you can use.

Bigorgg, are you using a generic crafting tool or the food/chem one? I always use food chem, and I don't recall being able to expirement with the general one?
