My personal favorite part of all of this is how other professions are comparing thier DOT's to Combat Medics. Yes other professions DOT's will be lower, but they also have other attacks. Combat Medics do Spend 169 pts to be able to use just DOT's (assuming you count novice marksman as damage...) whereas Rifleman, for example, uses only 92 points and has a stun damage gun that can ravage any players mind even if the 40% stun protection is factored in. With the 77 points that make the gap between the two formentioned professions the rifleman could master brawler. Warcry2 makes for a lovely 20 second delay. Carbineer would be another lovely addition due to the ranged KD and toss in the ranged dizzy from the rifleman tree and you have a knockdown that the CM won't be getting up from. There is a way to beat any profession template, stop whining and try to find what the weaknesses are for the profession that beats you. This will require you to do work (gasp!) but you should then be able to participate in an MMORPG without complaining all the time.

Compare our normal damage to those classes, then compare our DPS, you will see it is pretty close to even...


Wait, we wont have any normal damage, only DOT effects!


So, to make everytihng even, nerf every other class so they only have DOT effects as well, then we can discuss an adjustment to our DOT's...



MMM Industries, found at 2540 -4661 near Mos eisley. Food, weapons, powerups, armor, med's, speeders, repair tools, we have it all..


Offer all auction winnings to the food vendor at said waypoint..

tometaophion, you an idoit, hate to say it but its true.


in gsw combat the more "grief" wounds, bleeding, poisen and disease that a group can dish out to the other side, the better. If it kills the player they still lose time to having to get those wounds healed, which would be precisely the point of killing someone in the gsw, it gets the the hell away from the battle field or the base.


Now combat medics cannot do normal damage, they must rely on their dots. Now the thing is all poisen and disease packs are consumable, they get used up when used to kill you. So while other classes may spend 35k or so on a weapon that will last months of pvp and pve, a combat medic will go though many packs of meds and that effective credit cost is a hell of a lot higher than what a player with a gun will be paying.


As far as other classes, yes they got a large dot reduction, but some can still hit as hard or harder than a CM dot (though i may be not factoring in the 75% pvp thing). A commando burn hits with flamesingle 2 upwards of 1k with usually 25% of that being wounds. A pikeman hitting with a standard LVA hits for 55% and up in wounds, if you take into acount some of the nast looted LVA... 164% dmg in wounds! and maybe 300-800 dmg on the pike to boot (though pikeman are in no way over powered as those lances and LVA's are quite rare, at least for the really nasty ones). So while your average bleed will do less then a CM poisen or cause less wounds then a CM disease, all other professions get other special attacks that more than make up for that lack, for they all get status attacks aswell (stun, dizzy, KD etc.) a CM who has spent a lot more points does not get these status affects, they just get some nasty poisens and disease.

We don't need this imput. All they are saying is wah, I got killed. And everyone does it. I got killed by a CM here's what I though ... "I need to take up TK or doc"

and I as a CM am in no way invul even if I can toss poison at 80m and I'll continue to toss them from 80m as long as I can because if I don't then I will be instantly dead. Cause of death, consentrated fire from a load of CM hateing players.

Ok, first of all I like to "discuss" *cough* fight *cough* things on the boards as much as anyone else. I want to get one thing straight. Use your freaking headhit ability if you are using your powerhammer along with your bleed. Add those two together and that is the damage you are allowed to compare with the CM DOT. I can poison but that is it. If you are dumb enough to chase me after I have thrown a poison at you I will throw a disease at you as well. Don't follow me next time and I won't throw the disease. Have your buddy rifleman shoot me next time. (duh ohh yeah you forgot to bring your sharpshooting brethren along because you didn't prepare?) Most poisons can't be thrown farther than 51m. I didn't say all but most poisons are this way. Especialy for new CMs. So since most CMs don't wear helmets your rifleman buddy will be able to kill that CM before they get close enough to get their poison off.


I am DOC/CM and switch between the two in combat. If they hit my group with poison or disease I imediatly cure myself(thus allowing me to heal everyone else around me.)/rifleman/brawlerprofesion then everyone else.This keeps me alive to heal everyone else. I might heal the other docs along side me as well just so we don't loose our minds before we heal everyone. I can rez as well so who cares if my friends fall in combat I will rez/stim/healmind and they are on their way again. Fear not the CM, but the CM/DOC for we truely are gods.
