Thread: Any CM's out there use their profession to heal, and not to hurt?
My first priority is to my group. I'll do my best to heal them. However when not doing that I chuck poison/disease like the devil.
Personally I think when I was a CM I kept pretty balanced. I was never more likely to do one or the other, just whatever I could do to help at that moment.
I mostly use my combat medic skills for healing. You get in a group and chuck an area stim c and the whole group is healed... LOVE IT!!!! Also, every now and then I will help entertainers by doing the mind disease thing. They tend to like that!
On the rare occasion I go into PvP is really the only time I use poisons and diseases for damage purposes. I'm working on Master Pistoleer (and almost have it too) and I don't want them taking away XP from my pistol XP during normal combat missions.
PvE - when grouped: ALWAYS. No need to get exp since August of last year. Only time I shoot is when I catch aggro and then I usually just use warning shot until it goes running off. Will use the poisons too if it saves me on using too many stims during hunts or against NPC Imperial targets.
PvE - solo: Poison and I heal my pet using area stims and rake in the resources 4 or 5 critters at a time. Versus NPC Imperials basically the same thing except I'll send in the pet and run out of range until I lose aggro then come back and double up poisons and heal the pet. Afterwards I loot a dozen ST's and move on. ![]()
PvP - when grouped: Usepoisons, heals, healmind, and pet.
One other note on the gtef - All you NON-CM types whine about someone using a gtef and tossing poisons (and/or diseases) and call the CM that does it a griefer (along with a lot of other nasty names) but I've been gtef'd way more by others (all you novice medics tossing a stim B) than me using it. Too many times I've seen a blue dot turn red and start getting hit by two or three opportunists who'll take any chance they can get to whack a Rebel. They've allowed temporary flags in the game... it's an acceptable tactic and it's going to be used. Oh, and you're still going to whine about it so... go to your local chef and buy more cheese.
