Thread: Top 5 issues for CM this week

Why are you saying I grinded? The whole point of my post was to show you that I didn't grind. If you re-read it you will see that I spent 30 minutes to get 3000 XP. You can't really consider that grinding, can you?
Maybe if I spent 4 hours of my day to make 24000 XP...interesting math considering all you need is 27000 XP or so to get master combat crafting.
You do not get 35 heals on a Ranged D,you get 27 onnormalcomponents- subtract about 2000-2500 from whatever math you are coming up with. Are you sure you're making Ranged D's?
Yes withbasic componentsI get 35 charges on ranged Ds splitting my 8 experiment points 3 in charges and 5 in effectiveness...
I also have 10 experiment points for my components...so i can make 6c/5p or 7c/3p BECs
Elenora:
I don't think you are factoring in time. Making 3 components then making a stim c = waste of time even if you get an extra 100 XP out of it. What I didfor my expert/mastercraftingwas make all 3 components in a factory and while that was happening I was raising my Medical/Pistol XP out in the field. The speed at which you can createStim D's/Ranged heals when your bio/chem/liquid components are already complete can actually make crafting enjoyable, consisten and more importantly - fast!
With all 3 premade individual componentstoday 22 ofthe 25 Ranged D Heals I craftedhad a value of 533. Making everything individually would not yieldresultsremotely close to that consistency. I also gained 3000-3500 XP and only spent30 minutes at my crafting station. I find that beveryefficient use of my time.
The one thing I'd like to see now would be something to make us more raid friendly as a healer. I appreciate that doctors have rez packs. I'd like to see combat medics get revive kits. Something that would bring a player back from the dead and only make them mind incapped with severe wounds. That wouldn't be too overpowering and would add a little zest to the combat medic. Maybe even give it a 50/50 chance of failure.
Make that number 1 please Elenhora. My useless, off the cuff, comments should always be numbered one or two.
I think the biggest problem with the poison and disease issue is that it's not taking into account our effectiveness skill. When this gets implemented in the big upcoming patch, It will make a huge difference. You should probably see poison damage at least double - I'm getting almost 500 with non advanced c's. If effectiveness worked I bet that woudlgo up to 1k per tick, that's a pretty big difference. Also, I have a feeling that the same problem effects the resist rate. If we're using a Poison C as well as a novice combat medic, of course we're going to get resisted alot. Now add in effectiveness on potency - Would go from 60 to about 120 and if you put more of your experiment points into it than I did even higher.
hopefully the linking of CM effectiveness to Dots will fix the problem, but since its a pain to level a master CM compared to a doc/medic, its hard for people to go to TC and test it out...only way to know how this will really effect things is waiting til it goes live
TC should really allow people to transfer their characters as is on to the server in order to test out the upper level abilities. I know Q said they would occasionally grant people xp to achieve higher level professions on TC, but still...
My top few things I want to see fixed are AE heals. These would rock in huge group battles if they worked.Resist rates dropped on poisons and diseases and an intial damage when they land, not after the first tick. Its totally unfair in PvsP to use a poison cause the way things are now, by the time the first tick hits the opponent im dead and already cloned. Same with disease. To be honest if they fixed these, Id be pretty much set in game other then PvsP balancing/fixing
i tend to think less along the lines of mind healing then a total re-evalutation of the concept of mind damage...
take mind damage out..make BF go up faster and have more drastic effects on healing...
I think that you are absolutely right about the poison and disease not working..its ridiculous.. by the way is there anyone on chilastra who can make me some identical biological effect controllers from a factory crate.. it would be much appreciated... i am usually on in the mornings my characters name is arkanos if you could send me an email it would be much appreciated.
thx arkanos![]()
Hey, great list, couple of comments. I took doctor and cm novice at the same time. When you start crafting on the doctor line you 'carry over' your medic crafting points for experimentation. With CM you start over with 2 experimentation points.
Forgive my ignorance, it sounds like you are saying that CM crafting should be a whole different set of points (combat med crafting) as opposed to regular med crafting. Regardless, I think that novice CM should get the same number of experimentation points as a novice doctor. This seems like a bug and I'd like to see this replace or be incorporated into issue 4 about crafting being too hard. I don't think it's necessarily too slow, I lean more towards the other, that the medic xp is too easy, but CMs should still get their medic crafting points. I also feel that this should be the number three concern after fixing the dots and area affects.
I also consider the factory bug (although not class specific) to be more worthy of the list than number 5.
Thanks
Your sig... "You're only one /headshot3 away from being a pile of red goo."
pretty much says why your sniper-kiddie toy is going to get changed.
So, dodge that nerf-train as long as you can. Enjoy it. Mind-damage will be addressed, everybody who's on the other end of your "/headshot3" agrees.
Good list but I have to say that my number one issue right now is that Area Stim packs do not work - at all.
This is followed very shortly behind by Medicine Crafting never rising with combat medicine crafting. Stim Components will never get better. Ever. Unless the CM takes Doctor and Med crafting. Which, in my mind, is a huge waste of points. And I've yet to see a doctor selling crates of advanced liquid susension with super high power.
