Funny you should say that as the majority of hate tells I get from players on Kauri are the fact that I don't stand still during a fight. Hello? Moving targets decrease accuracy.....

Sadly thats true. Every pvper has mind fire/poison guns, stun batons, swords, and pikes. Why? Cause dots are the only thing that can hurt you in your 90% armor. The typical combat spam goes a little something like this:

Bob shoots you for 6 damage, your 90% composit absorbs 4 damge.

You have been burned, you have been poisoned, you have sustained more fire.

By balancing armor and buffs, dots will have a less effect on pvp due to the fact that every combat class will have an equal chance to deal damage, much more and faster then dots.

Heres a true story. Theres a rebel on my server thats near unkillable. He can solo kryates, the corvett, and take on groups of elite pvp professions and not even get a scratch. You want to know what killed him, a combat medic. Players like him are the reason for all the nerf crys. By nerfing cms they'll retain their god like status. But all that will change given time. Dots may rule pvp now but after the revamp all the fotm players will migrate leaving the real cms, giving us back our profession.

I had a melee template that was damn near untouchable and I could take on a couple guys at once, I could solo krayts. I could never in a million years solo the corvette unless soloing it means you burst run and loot it all. People need to understand that they can get their weapons crafted for accuracy. I used to have a tusken rifle with +170 to hit, it was a stacker killer. People need to grab some tactics against these melee templates, it involves not standing still and taking a beating and getting accuracy crafted weapons for sticking state effects. I dont know how many people want to wait another 2 months for the DOT system to be fixed. I think if everybody had 80%+ armor it would make pvp more interesting, it would last longer, I think it could be a lot of fun.

Combat Medics need ~32000 combat xp. That is the equivalent of 320,000 weapon xp. And since the Devs took out our ability to gain Combat xp (more than 1xp per person per fight anyway) while healing people...it means you have to fight, and then drop those skills later when you run out of skill points. Lol, don't judge professions you don't know anything about.

As far as this idea of droppiong DoTs...I just don't see it happening. Bleeds, and flames still tick after the person who gives them is incapped or dead. Poisons and diseases are just variations on the same theme. People who get killed by CMs will continue to come to this board to cry, and Combat Medics will still point out our incredibly low dps, and our inability to defend ourselves, until the Combat Revamp hits.

Lol, of course the way it's going...it'll be August 2007 before we get the promised Revamp. The biggest complainers on this forum are the people who have stacked templates, 90% armor, and 2600 buffs...and then complain b/c they cannot single handedly kill every single person and every single template on the server.

All I can say is that it was not a mistake medical DoTs were not nerfed when weapon bleeds were. I was correspondent at the time, asked if this was a mistake, and I was told no. I asked this the Monday after the patch, if not before (while it was on TC)...I cannot remember any more details, and I no longer have access to my own posts in the corr forums.

DoT's aren't the problem. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. MIND vulnerability IS the problem. You can keep up with a commando's health fire DoT with a cheap stimB. You can't do crap against a MIND fire DoT the most feared thing in this game (and only curable byONE profession too). You're not complaining about our health poisons you're complaining about our MIND poisons. Your tusken rifle is energy, slow, and doesn't do much damage unless you're attacking what...MIND maybe? Riflemen are griefed almost as much as CM's because they take out your MIND faster than other professions. With 80% kinetic a TKM has to beat you by attacking your MIND before someone takes out his. Powerboost is the most powerful innate enhancer and sought after by everyone because it doubles you current MIND pool. You see a pattern here?

In the combat revamp we're hoping the MIND issue will be taken care of and we've already gotten a taste since MIND will be healed easily. Now they just need to make ranged professions more powerful and melee professions on par. I hear their taking away melee mitigation but no word on ranged thank goodness. This game was turning into "techno barbaric wars" instead of star wars since the only profession able to stand up to any melee was rifleman.

p.s.- You want us to get fixed? Aren't you the same Barco that is constantly using words like "nerf" and "remove CM's" on these boards?
