Thread: Combat Medics how's your templete?
OK! for the record, combat medic only requires mastery of the medic prof, as well as ranged support IV from the marksman tree (xxx4) Luckily for you, Rifleman and Combat Medic can, indeed, both be mastered. However, like the origonal poster's template of master pistoleer and combat medic, this leaves you with very few points, not nearly enough to get novice scout for getting organics, or novice artisan for surveying and such.

Master CM / Master Doc / 0404 Marksmen
I make money buffin and use CM for PvP in tarquninas we never let the CGW rest, there is fighting 24/7, and have to use the pistol to finish what the posion was nerfed and can't do.
But I'm having problems with MCM because I don't like the range so far, been only getting 48m.
Stats CM 2/0/2/3
Pistoleer 0/0/2/1
Scout 4/0/0/0
Do missions for cash....search Bazaar for resources, use Coronett Cantina for fast grinding Med xp.
If you dont want to be jedi - sell the Holocron for some cash and you will be set for along time in resources.
Get a artisan friend in your guild (if you are in one) and pay him to get resources for you.

I am expert CM, Master Pistolier, and 3 in the pistol line of Smuggler.
I stun them for 10sec, bleed heath with 2 pistol shots....toss the 2nd best heath poison in the game, fakedeath....and heal myself as i stand.. walk up and smack em once and they drop.
it is great fun.
though i think they hate me.....im a wookie, I have to be creative to win.
If you're geared towards PvP then I would recommend either as a MD/MCM or Master Rifleman/MCM.
They are a deadly combination for PvP as MCM/MD you can poison at range and heal yourself the poison and disease, not to mention you can buff yourself for 2000+ on all 6 stats.
As a Master Rifleman/MCM, you'll be able to throw poison at distance and then as target closes in, you can headshot 3 with Ion Rifle and then strafe 2 away if needed.
Buf if you're interested in PvE, then part pistoleer, part Doc and MCM is a great combination as the health poison can wreak havok on the critters.
Overall, the truly effectivetemplate is up to you, pick something that's fun for you and play around with it.
I'm a master doc/3-4-0-4 cm and trickshot (pistoleer 0-0-4-0). I've been this way for a while... I just can't seem to give up fanshot and that second pistol bleed to take the crafting line. I haven't tried mcm yet, although I'm quite curious to see how much of a difference it will make in my poisons and diseases.
At any rate, since I've had my skills this way, I have yet to lose a 1on1 fight. Mind poison, two health bleeds, and keep running around spamming fanshot until they're dead. I'm just not sure the upgrade to area poison/disease Cs is worth giving up 60% of my pistol damage... I suppose I'll have to try it both ways...
Probably won't be of much help to anyone.... but..
I was a Master Doctor/Master CM/ 0/4/0/4 marksmen....
(actually I can't remember if I was able to hit the last pistol box in marksmen, may have only been III, anyhow.)
No scout skills, no artisan skills, and just barely any pistol skills. (just enough to do the incap from +1 on people)
However I did have an alternate character I had started on the same server that I leveled in Surveying IV, and Master Scout. ![]()

Reality is... I bought most of my resources from various bazaars... Traveled around the galaxy for about a week scraping up all the resources I could. Got a little lucky and found some damned good resources in my travels.
Although I had another character with surveying and scout, I honestly didn't get much use out of him.... except for some insect and avian meat. Only ever planted a couple harvestors, ended up being able to buy much of what I needed from guild members. And also ex-CM's who just had a bunch of crap taking up space.
Master Doctor, Master Combat Medic and Expert in Pistols (in the marksman tree). All points used up but two or three or something I am not sure right now, but there is not enough to get anymore skills.
I sell Wound Pack and Stims for money, and poisons and diseases for better money when the resources allow.
I play around in combat classes depedning on my mood, currently a pikeman. I'm designed to be supoprt for the GCW and i work well. As for resources, i just send my guildies out after them, they know how much they need me on raids
