I like /medicalforage! lol it allows me to sample EVERY FLORA on a planet quickly! find the best one. then go surveying and put a harvester to harvest it. /medicalforage is VERY useful. just have to be a artisan to use /medicalforage

------------------------------------------------
Personal Request: Look at the Combat Medic Support line, currently it doesn't seem to affect the class much. In the manual CMs are noted to get terrain negotiation (like scouts), and other combat support abilities which I don't see on the in-game information.
------------------------------------------------

There is terrain negotiation in the combat medic profession, at Master Combat medic you do get +10 but personally i feel this +10 is insufficient given that the first level of exploration (scout line) gives +20.

Suggest that the bonus at master combat medic is increased or maybe a +5 per level in the combat medic support line as a +5 per level combined with the +10 at master would still be less than a master scout (as it should) it would be enough to enable combat medics to not be a hinderance on the rest of a group when out hunting.

"Medical Forage should allow the medic to use a floral survey device ONLY."

What good is that when we needother resources to make our items?

igestang has the right idea. +10 is like, nothing. Almost every player fills out the exploration line in scout. I'm going for Master Carbineer/Master Combat Medic, leaving me with a whopping 4 skill points left, so there isn't room to grab the scout stuff for convenience. Terrain Negotiation +10(x4) and then a another +20 at master wouldn't be too extreme or unbalancing I don't think. I don't think having a Combat Medic with Terrain Negotiation equalt to that of a master scout is all that unbalanced. Combat medic IS an elite/hybrid profession, and we ARE supposed to be able to get to our party members quickly. I know every profession is crying "make me better make me more useful", but I truly think our inteneded purpose requires such things.

How about worst case scenario...using medical forage you pick up a stimAevery 10 times or so. Neither very useful for the CM, nor totally useless for that matter...

Justification could be maybe another doc dropped it out of his pack

If you want to be an independent medical crafter, you have to have artisan. I understand the desire to have scouting (terrain negotiation) skillsand artisan (surveying) skills added to the CM or medic lines, but I actually like it as is. Like every other profession, you have to make choices when you build your character.

Ultimately, there needs to be a decent mechanism to create a market for resources other than the bazaar. A bazaar-like commodities market would be great. Let me see current availability and pricing on resources all over the galaxy. Give us a way to bid on non-existent lots of resources (I will pay8 credits/resource for up to 10,000 units of Lokian wild wheat with OQ > 500, for example). If this were more visible, we'd have more non-medics chasing the resources the medics need and it wouldn't be so essential for medical crafters to harvest themselves (unless you want resources at the lowest possible price). I'm perfectly willing to pay a premium to buy resources, but there's currently no good way to match up supply with demand outside of PAs, so everyone goes harvests the stuff themselves. The stuff you do see on the bazaar is often priced at too high a premium to the actual acquisition cost (Lokian wild wheat isn't *that* hard to get).

i've been asking for reverse auctioning for a long time. would solve a lot of problems for many of the crafter classes that need more resources or more types of resources they could harvest themselfs.
