Hey thaven, I like your setup. I am just wondering how u managed to get mastery of both professions. For myself, I am struggling between the choice of having artisan for the survey ability, and scout to harvest organics. I think I am choosing to give up scout because it's easier to get people to kill in my guild, than survey. Since we have the terrain negotation, scout becomes less and less of a need.

I'd just like to know your skill pt allocation besides the obvious stuff. Do you have any pts in any other prof besides CM and pistoleer.

Pistol for me. When hunting in my guild I travel with 3 or 4 commando's so I need to be close range support, plus my hopped up FWG5 (Spd 1.8, Dmg 80 - 260)allows me to quickly respond to the situation on the battle field.

Ok my template was Master CM and master Pitoleer with 4 points left over wher ei picked up one rank in rifle and carine becasue of nowhere else toput them.

Strenghts

1- Offensivly you can hold your own with a sidearm. If I was going to redo pistoleer I might not master it.

2- Pistols are fast. allows for fast heal turnaround times.

Weaknesses

1- Pistoleer has no AP damage and poor specials.

2- Lack of survey skills can be painful.

3- lack of experimentation points makes your stims and poisons less effective then a CM/Doctor.

With all that said and done last nightI surrendered master Pistoleer and am going Master CM with Master Doctor. Dorctor is just too strong not to couple it with CM. I may try carbine out since il only be getting it to Specialist. If it stinks ill go back to Pistol but only specialist since my focus is changing more towards a PK/support/bomber character.

This one point should make it easy to choose. RIFLE use MIND! If you heal you drop mind points. Then you do a rifle special and drop more mind. Guess what you are now even closer to getting incapped!

I went Rifleman CM and I was getting dropped like mad. Switching to pistol now.

Ok, after getting Carbine to Specialist and doing some PvP and PvE I have come to the following conclusion. Carbine can do more damage at the expense of a 1.5X damage multiplier on yourself from melee. Thismay not seem significant (to me I noticed it right away since I tended to die more when I held a carbine as opposed to a pistol) but in PvP its huge imho. Reason being is when you are doing a big raid and you toss a Mind Posion every pet in the area aggros you. With a Carbine in hand your chances of survival go down alot due to the 1.5X since all pets are melee and do 100% damage in PvP. Pistol in hand I did less damage but did not fall as much due to this.

Just FYI.
