Maybe instead of some in-game boycot or demonstration, it would better serve to get some "publicity" outside the game. Somewhere SOE couldn't ignore it and would have to make statements as to their reasoning.

If someone (or several someones) were to contact via email (or other quick means) the various gaming sites (including all the ones SWG has received awards from) and tell them what's happening here and maybe even include a copy of EN's history to show how it's gone down for so long...

I think we should just refuse to play along. Next time we're up for the 19 "answers", refuse to submit one. We're just going to get "Wait for such-and-such" anyway... so what's the point? I'd like to see how they'd handle it. Would they just leave smuggler off the list? Or would they say "The smugglers have decided not to pose a question this month"?

If Caylin does leave (which I hopedoesn't happen ) refuse to nominate a new correspondent.

No more "vision" documents, no more jumping through hoops. Nothing.

nope, the logic still applies. if you've played for an entire year or more and the game makes you unhappy, you need to leave. or try something new. but sitting there feeling sorry for yourself then comming to the boards to rant isn't the answer. you're still paying them, so in their marketing team's number crunching views, you must be happy if you're still playing.

i've been here since beta 1. i've had my ups and downs, my dissapointments, my bad days...but in the end, i have fun and enjoy the game so i can justify to myself why i stick with it. i agree with the "noobs" who use simple logic such as "if you don't like, don't pay."

Wow that is a great idea, we should do this. Can we pull it off? Where do we start? Caylin how do you feel about no 19 questions next time it comes up?

Last time I looked, there are a lot more wookies than smugglers. I doubt all the smugglers on any given server doing much of anything is going to affect the server other than in their specific locale.

It's a commercial operation, money talks, bulls**t walks, as they say. In this case, if you're really and truly upset, then make your money talk by taking a walk.

Just an aside, as I've only recently started playing, soI'm not that upset. I've learned in life, especially when people are involved, to expect the worst. I might find that little consolation in a year, but I haven't been playing that long. For those of you who have and who are very upset--it's not as if your character will be deleted. You can always come back if/when things are better. If you're really upset, don't punish yourself by continuing to play a game you're dissatisfied with--cancel the subscription and come back only if/when things are fixed to your satisfaction. If I were so unhappy, I definitely wouldn't continue to play and pay.

Life is full of enough unhappiness to have to pay for it.

Really easy to tell people who have played for a year plus to just leave when you have only played for a short time or are not very upset what the dev's have put off for to long. When you put 1/2 the effort people in that othershave put into trying to give you a sold re-vamp then you should try your hand at advice. Ive learned in life that poeple need to walk in anothers shoes before they tell them what to do...

Dude, jumping on him for making is statement is uncalled for. Regardless of how long he's been here for he makes a valid point. If anyone else were to give us this kind of treatment we'd tell them: "It's my pocket, not yours. Go try and pick someone else's." The logo is what is keeping us here.

You said it yourself you have had ups and down in this game why did no not leave? None of the people who tryed to help make a soldre-vamp happen should be upset, and if so they should just leave? Caylin, for all his hard work should just leave? Vampirerobot, Geevo, and all the people who had great ideas based on the dev's telling them to work on this stuff should just leave, say "fug it" and leave with out a wimper or a moan, just walk away. Its its simplest form you are correct but come on, really now.

The reason they are upset is because they love the game and want to help make it better (and they wereasked to comeup with an outline by the dev's i might add). The resone they are upset is because they have been told one thing over and over and not seen any of it. That would not get you mad huh?

The last time they pushed off the re-vamp we were all looking forward to it, hopeing it would be with purpose. Now we see it was not, people who enjoy this game and pay good money have a right to be upset when they are put off time and time and time...and time again. Everyone who put time and idea's on this board in order to help HAS A RIGHT TO BE UPSET. I have fun in the game and no one will agrue that point. People usualy dont like to wast there time or be lied toand that is whateveryone here are mad about. The game does not suckthat is not the issue.I love the game Im way pissed about the dev'sstringing us along ....there is a difference. "IF your mad just leave" really cheapens other peoples hard work and is a short sighted statement.

All in all, I don't think it would help us to do that. Get your questions in, participate as you can, but I don't feel that doing this would help our position at all. You need to be represented and be constantly in their thoughts and minds in order to get anything done. I think if we didn't ask a question, they would just pass it up and feel like it was just less work they had to do, that involved the community.

Perhaps we should just ask the exact same question every time our turn comes up. Keep repeating it and repeating it and repeating it again. Simple questions like:

"So, are we pushed back again yet?"

"Whatever happened to our 'love'?"

"How will we smuggle in JTL?"

"The smuggler community would like to ask the Jedi what they believe the role of the smuggler should be, considering Jedi opinions are the ones that matter"
(not really a question, but WTH)

"Please defing 'open and truthful communication' TH"

etc...

We need to get every smuggler on every server to send in a Ticket saying something completely random and retarded and in the end write a threat note like....."This Continues Everyday in the same volume unless Smuggers Demands are met"

They have no problem erasing CS tickets. They flushed the whole database once.

I say we post about how much we adore and admire the profession. I say we get a bunch of scrub idiots in here screaming for our blood, demanding that we get nerfed. I say we publicly announce that slicing is an exploit, that it makes guns too good.

I've been reading scores of pages for months on this board, about suggestions, ideas, visions... carefully answered questions and much-considered responses.

You could sum up what we've been answered with in one word.
(okay, the profanity filter wouldn't let the one I had in mind through)

Nothing.

while i think Exar's method is extreme, it is technically correct.

the ONLY real way to change a business's mode of operation is to take your dollars away from them. if our revamp means that much to you, frustates you that much, then yes..by all means, cancel your account. the game is supposed to be fun, if it's not, dont waste your money on it, because you'll encourage them to keep making decisions that infuriate you.

to the original poster, go ahead and punish the playerbase by not slicing, i'll happily take over your share of the business.
