Thread: targeting issue with bacta toss vs bacta toss enhancer

The real problem for me is in PVP. I just get all my de-buffs on and parlaize then half to waste it switching to myself to heal, by then he is up and i'm on my back, heal was wasted and i'm soon dead. I'm a great pve role player but because of this healing problem i cant do anything in PVP. It is so frustrating!...WHen i put on poisoin, fire and all debuffs there is no way i should lose at all but because of heals i always do....there is nothing worse than you just about winning and seeing the "invalid target" screen pop up when you try to heal to finish it off!
You may already know this, but you can hit Ctrl-1 to target yourself in the SWG keymap. Ctrl-2 is first group member, etc.

Yes, I just use ctrl-1 now because my macro kept going awry, but it still burns a lot of time using an enhancer relative to just using the skill. I often end up breaking even or taking more damage than I heal due to the extra delay.
agreed , i have stopped using bacta toss and spary enhancers for pvp ( and jedi hunting ) because the extra heal doesnt justify the time wasted in targeting yourself and then retargetting the person i am fighting . alternatively if we use macros to target ourself we still lose out on 2 extra spaces on our toolbar , as well as cooldown timers .
I could easily be wrong about this... but if its working the first time and not later when deep in the heat of battle. Maybe you have queued commands and/or lag mucking up the macro? If thats the case you should be able to use the Clear Combat Que command (Which if someone could post the syntax would be helpful) which I'm pretty sure works even now that there is no real Combat Que other than the two commands we can stack on each other.
I was going to use the command myself in an ongoing COB macro but in the end just decided to do most of it manually.

ive had this problem, but i got totally bugged on the 19th. I went to the raid for a while, i couldnt use a SINGLE helpful CM skill on any other player. Couldnt use any of the 3 heals, couldnt revive, nothing, anything i tried to use targeting another player gave me an invalid target message. i could only heal myself and use fire/poison etc on mobs.

Is there a syntax to replace using cntrl+#
that would simplify things for healing group members faster.
might be able to make this an alias. I saw some alias's in SL that we might be able to borrow from.
I'll take a look.
Yes there is!
/ui action targetGroup0 targets first group member (ctrl-2)
/ui action targetGroup1 targets second group member (ctrl-3)
and so on. Remeber it's case sensitive.

Man, I'm all over the sytax tonight ![]()
/ui action clearCombatQueue -OR- Ctrl-Backspace (SWG Keymap)
/bactaToss self
Seems to work like a champ.
Just like the Pre-CU when you could /healdamage self

That uses the enhancer, and not just the inate ability?
BadgerSmaker wrote:I think you need a pause after the enhancer, beacause the cycle target is flipping to a mob too quickly.
There is a target last in history command but I dont know the syntax, I'll try and find out.
I think it may be:
/ui action cycleTargetPrev

/bactaToss self and/bactaSpray self do NOT use the enhancer, only the inate ability.
