Thread: Exploit: AOE stim healing in cantinas
I made over 75k medical experience in 3-4 hours play time tonight hunting with a medium sized group.
I would have been lucky to have made 7.5k sitting in cantinas and med centers in that same amount of time.
I did this a few times over the weekend, and I do it anytime I have downtime in the cantina. I try to be considerate of the other medics, but hey, I've never been a med center/cantina kind of medic. Until I got AOE stims, I earned 90% of my exp in the field. Med exp is ridiculously easy to get, as long as you get off your ass and play the game. I try to remind any aspiring Combat Medics that they need to get out in the field to earn that combat exp, or they're not going anywhere.
Entertainers love this stuff. They can all spam their flourishes and special lights, and one CM can keep the the whole room maxed on action. The only people upset are the camper medics.
Exploit? Hardly. You might think so when you're throwing those piddly-ass regular stim a's on your entertainer friend. It's also a nice way to get killed, as you will get a TEF flag for healing overts.
I did discover an AOEbug in cantinas (and reported it), but it wasn't with med exp.
I AOE in cantinas.......... I'll admit it. The AOE makes healing the group of 15 to 20 entertainers MUCH more efficient.
I tip entertainers if they are in small groups or alone. But if I walk into a cantina and see 15 or 20 people all in the same group, I'll be dam*ned if I am tipping all 20 of them. In the big groups I bust out the AE heals. I toss down two and go about my buisiness. I don't sit in there and grind my EXP at a sloths pace.
Just an FYI, I'm one of those CM's that grinded to master by healing in non-other then COMBAT. The 'C' in CM stands for 'COMBAT'....go figure. To me it makes no sense for a CM to grind healing in a canitina anyway. You gain far more EXP in a group out in the wild then you do sitting there waiting for the entertainers flourishes to drain their action bar enough to heal.
Healing in combat while you are lvling helps in two areas. It allows you to learn how to watch your groups HAM bars and be a more effective healer and it also lets you see the world of SWG. Both are pricless IMHO.
In short I say let the people who "think" they are gaining good EXP in cantinas stay in cantinas. That makes more of a need forthe CMs who actually want to heal and fight in combat. If you are going to power game..... PLEASE.... do it with at least 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1 brain and half a lick of sense.
