I very much disagree with this.

I created an alt just to go the Doc/CM route to support the PA, because I was so reluctant to let Tazz give up CM when he was so needed in group activities (any major content, basically) in the game. Also, got too used to being able to toss AOE stims and instantly heal a dozen players and pets and save the day when taking on a peko peko alb or a krayt.

Doc for the state, poison, and disease heals, and of course the buffing, CM for the battlefield healing and some offensive capability.

I find it challenging to keep people alive and myself alive at the same time. My presence is very much appreciated.

Re-read my post. Everything you supposedly disagree with is actually supporting what I said. If you're solo then you stuck with poisoning something and running around in circles (kiting) the npc on your speeder since you cant blast/beat it down. Do a 30k janta mission without a poison and see what I mean.

This is untrue. In group pvp, the doc+CM is always the first target-

Its the CM part thats the first target. The psy. factor outweighs the "OMG he's gonna battle rez that dude" factor.

And yes its nice to be appreciated when we show up for large scale content. "Keo's here! Corvette will be alot easier now." brings a warm fuzzy feeling deep down inside. Either that or it was the tiajuana torpedo burrito I just ate.

I really love that template.

i think the best race for medical classes are mon cals due their very high mind stats (1300max mind) and high secondaries.

when you are doc you will be buffed 24/7 anyway do health and action stats are no issue.

This is untrue. In group pvp, the doc+CM is always the first target. This is one of hte toughest templates to play, but the most rewarding. My old running group knew that if I died, they died, I lived, they lived. Pretty easy when you think about it. It isnt easy to play the "god role", but damn is it fun..

lol ur group mustve been full of noobs then
a cm doesnt control rather if ur group dies or not

I did this template and it was really effective at group support. You are practically invincible, but have no offense whatso ever.

  • 4440 Doc -(get BE clothes and bivoli and you can buff for about 2400 for 3.5hrs.)

  • 0404 CM - (This lets you mind heal and toss area stims)

  • 0030 Smuggler* - (This is the clencher. You gotta be covert IMO because since you dont have any defense or offense you will rely on FD. If a jedi or another player singles you out, you just FD and wait till your tef wears out then stand/cure/heal and carry on)
*If you want to FD everytime never fail you might have to sacrifice either curing diseases (go from 4440doc to 3440 doc) or drop some CM (go from 0404 to 0403)

Necessary supplies to make this work...

  1. Comp armor with high effectiveness (prolly a 28%stun/85%base suit since they are easy to come by, well easier than 40%stun/85%base)

  2. Burst Run recovery food - eat it and run around curing, then it will stop and in no time you can burst run again

  3. Havla (medical recovery time food) - Curing/Buffing fast is essential

  4. Bivoli & BE Clothes w/ +25 Injury/Wound Treatment - You can buff very well, and cure very well.

Macros...

  1. well, if you want macros for this I can do a cross-server email to you

This wasa very very effective support character. You gotta be the one and do the dirty work and leave the fighting for another day. You keep them alive they keep you alive and everybody is happy

NECROMANIAC!!!!!

p.s.- dont you need buff pack with 950+ to buff for that much as a partial doctor? Most full doctors need all of that stuff to buff into the 2400's unless they're in a medical town.

p.p.s- your range and effectiveness will be GREATLY reduced if you dont pick up the distance tree (effectiveness mods located there too). It would look really funny for a CM to be having to chase down a player to heal them.

if you want novice rifle, you will have to drop one of the masters. anyway i have a doc/mcm and its defenses i find to be very lacking. went with pistoleer and a geo blaster with him but my defenses still arent what ill like them to be.

i think doc and anything is good. with doc you can keep yourself alive well very. doc with cm doesnt really add much combat or defense for the doc but it does allow for him to stay out of the direct combat and augment his healing. being able to heal a group is always better than just healing one.
