Thread: Question: Revive
Thanks for the responses
.
If I'm reading them correctlyeveryCM who has repliedhas or plans to get Revive. Am I correct inassuming that Revive is a key part of being a viable* in-the-field healer? (My own experience as a not-yet Master CM with only Novice Doctor would suggest it is).Is thereany distinction between the usefulness of Revive in PvE vs PvP. I don't PvP at the moment but plan to when I finally make Master CM.
*I accept that 'viability' is a pretty subjective concept.
By the way, I'm not advocating giving Revive to CMs, I just want to understand whether it's worth compromising my damage output/soloability by giving up 20 points for Master Wound Treatment in my final build.
Um... well the wording is a bit off.
My answer would be C, but I consider myself a Doc first and a CM second. So as far as I'm concerned I already had Revive and took CM to pick up some extra goodies, not the other way around.
I am with Zarlor. Being a Doctor first, then a combat medic (for the extra goodies), allows me to craft my own adv components and doctor goodies, which happen to be a easier to craft than CM supplies.
But thats just me.
I would be E - None of the Above..
I currently have Master CM,Doctor(2/4/0/0), Pistoleer(0/1/4/3)

One doc I asked yesterday and he said no...he said it would be like giving a child the keys to a candy store.....
LOL not sure what he meant by that.
Unless a doctor sells stims, he/she is most likely hurting for cash. We just don't get paid well for what we do. For those folks, selling enhancement packs just aren't an option. Rather, they'd prefer to apply the buffs and get paid for the service.
Fora quick example, I can easily make a enhance D and sell the charges for 1k credits each. For a pack with 20 charges (which is a modest amount), that's 20K credits worth of income in that little pack. It's difficult to justify selling it to someone for 10K credits when you could make twice as much using it on your own and it's just as difficult to sell for that price because it would be charging 40 credits per unit of resource that go into it. It's just a tough call for a doc.
In my case, I do sell stims for a living and I make a handsome living doing it, at that. I wouldn't have any problem selling enhancement packs, but I'm afraid it'd cut into the business of some of my fellow doctors that make their livings selling the application of these buffs.
As it is, however, I'll sell buffs if you want some. Just don't expect to pay less that 5k for a D pack - they're just too valuable to let go for much less.
Currently, I would be (D) No, I'm not planning to get Master Wound Treatment from Doctor. In fact, Ido not plan to take any Doctor skills. I'll just have my doctor friends make me subcomponents, and deal with the fact that when people diethey'll have to clone(although if you time "drag incap player" correctly, you can prevent a deathblow)
I do agree thatRevive is a very useful ability, butsince Death in the game is merely an inconvience, it's not too big a deal (although Iimagine 3k+ runs might not be too fun for the recently deceased)
