i now found that while in combat i could revive someone without any warmup time - seems a bug.

Sometimes my revive doesn't want to work either, but if I drag the corpse a little it goes through. Also for those who didn't know, dragging is a quick way to go from on leave to combatant. They don't even have to be incapped, just KD'ed.
