How do you know when resources change though? Thats why I check the bazaar daily because I dont know when then change on my server occurs....is there a way to tell?

I have not touched advanced components, the base onesworkgreat for healing. Actually I thought the advanced components like advanced chemical release duration mechanism were for a specific med ..not interchangable with the regular ones. I may have to spend some time and see what I can dig up to play with them.

Personally I think the main seperation as far as time put in finding all these whack components and someone who churns it out will be the difference between the combat medic who constantly has 5 tells going at once because they're in high demand ...and the one who has to have "Sorry guys!" hot keyed to save time because they've spent more timecomponent huntingthan learning how tokeep 20 people alive at once in a high stress situation. That's the only seperation other professions see, and the only one I care about.

On the plus side though, there may be CMs who actually love doing that and start putting thier meds on the market, in which case I'd start buying them. And in that light if it ever comes to pass I think those differences would be well worth the extra credits thrown down.

so you are basicly saying, the ones spending time on getting advanced resources to make better stims will not be as good as a combat medic that spends that time healing his groups with standard packs?

I think you all are missing a huge avenue of help: your fellow players. Why aren't you seeking out artisans to help you gather certain resources? Tell them you will pay some money if they can harvest certain resources of certain minimum quality. This game is all about interdependence with other professions and players. If you are focused on being a medic, doctor or combat medic, then let another player who is an artisan help you gather those resources. There are people in the game that love to find that rare resource, to find that vein of highly prized mineral, chemical or flora. A guild will be atremendous help in the same way. They will want you to heal as best as possible so that they can take on bigger mobs.

That's exactly what I'm saying, I've seen the difference first hand. I get tells from people saying thier medic sucks and they'll pay for a ticket to where ever they are for me to come do the job. With my standard meds I can heal for betwen 450 (ranged) and 850 (stim Cs close ).

Loski, agreed totally. I'm already starting to network people to make this a reality. In a way I'm kind of fighting myself over this whole issue.

One 1 hand ..the game is just starting to get going, a lot of things that WILL be in place are not quite in place yet.

If 3 months down the line I'm totally wrong I'll happily eat my words andshut my mouth on the whole issue, in fact probably make fun of myself on the whole issue,but it's not the case just yet.

In all fairness to the comparison, yes it would rule if I sumbled across it ..but someone who makes doing that thier total focus at the cost of everything elseis missing out on some valuable learning time. We do have a very hard job ...keeping people alive and managing X amount of health and action bars at once.

This is an issue I fight with myself on back and forth a lot, but it always comes down to 1 thing: time and money vs profit for what I do, and it can't be denied that we have by far the worst time and money put in vs profit for what we do. Yes, advanced components are a nice bonus to have and the resources are nice to stumble across, but I won't be losing any sleep over them.

I'm just not gonna go insane lookin for the pieces parts. I figure if I somehow stumble across some luckily ...then I'll look for the other resources just to be able to fiddle, I'll just check the dangerous places and bring lots of people with me.

talus water and datooine berries is the easiest combination to get and is always available. dantooine is by far not one of the dangerous places and if you walked to the volcano on Lok or into the desert on Endor, it's gonna make you bored.

just gotta have some luck on the quality that you find.
