The ingame clone armor is pretty cool, but the Republic Commando armor rocks. I would never take it off, assuming that's not battle armor too.

They don't look at any thing with the word "Commando" in it. Including this forum. The CU fixed Commando. They don't have to anything with us ever again. Were working as intended. Yep no Clone Trooper armor. No nothing.

Nor I, and of all the armor they could give us as a passifyer, why not imperial black storm commando armor? Its allready in game, allready coded, all they have to do is add a little tweak to code and put a little quest in for master commandos to complete. But what did they say again about that armor? "It will never be implimented". Why you ask? Because its something we wanted and asked for, instead they have to give us clone armor not even befitting the setting. WEEEE

AoE = Area of Effect. Commando weapons, when fired, hit in an area fashion. Either like a shotgun (called a cone in game) or a grenade (radius). For example, the Flamethrower shoots a narrow cone toward the target. The broken part is that the only thing that happens with our "supposed" AOE's is that the primary target gets hit for normal damage, while all the other targets within the AOE are hit for 1hp damage.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but Katarn armor may need a look at, as well as all other 1-shot quest armor sets.These armors suffer the same rapid decay rate as all other armors in the game and also have the same repair penalties as regular armor. Katarn armor specifically is supposed to be a perk of buying the expansion, but it's actual effectiveness is less than two weeks for even an average player.


Another thing I think should change about these quest armors is that they can be reffitted, especially in this time of respeccing.


When you get the katarn armor, you can't choose what type it is (battle. recon. assault) it just decides for you, but what if you wanted to drop that profession soon? Then you can't wear your brand new, and exquisite armor.


I think the devs should make Katarn armor behave alot like the BARC speeder, which can be repaired to max over and over despite being *destroyed* and also it should be allowed to be reffitted as these respecs often change the armor types a player can wear.

I doubt its going to happen. All reward items have worked this way since the game launched, if you want to use it you have to be careful of it, and eventually you won't be able to use it any more. Letting you repair the armor to full condition would prevent the need of ever buying other armor, hence hurting the armorsmiths, same that would happen if you could automatically repair the lootable weapons. If your that worried about it, you'll need to get an Anti-Decay kit or else buy it from someone who doesn't want it.


Refitting it to a certain type would be fine with me, but again, only once (and better yet, require you to set the type when you are awarded the armor). Regular armor is only respec-able once (and thats only the pre-CU armor), no reason the reward stuff should be any different. One of the few negatives of respecing to a different profession is the different armor you can use. You are forced to buy new armor if you buy it, same deal.


The whole decay thing and not being able to use it any more is a huge reason that people are upset that there are almost no schematics for anything in RotW. Schematics mean you can get more of the item, but at the same time you aren't screwing the crafters in the game with everlasting stuff.


The BARC speeder is a mistake, IMO. As was the Flash Speeder. There should be no everlasting items in the game, if crafters are losing business because of it.
