As the post above me pointed out, AoE Poisons and Single Target Poisons do stack. The XP given depends on the quality of the poison used, somehow. Haven't quite figured out the formula, but better poison gives more XP.

I mainly solo, and Cantinas always seem to have plenty of novice medics around, so I have used a different method to gaining the Med Use XP. It is important to note that the target doesn't matter in gaining XP; you get the same for poisoning a baby as an adult, a gnort or a rancor. I have been able to gain XP very quickly by loadinging up on Mind, Action, and Health Area poisons, going a ways out of town, and having my non-CH pet attack a low level MOB lair. All the paralopes, say, run to attack my rock beetle, and I throw the three poisons over and over. In theory one could also use diseases, but I find the poisons will kill most creatures before you can use more than three "bombs" on them. Certain lairs and creature types can have almost a dozen MOBs out picking at my rock beetle. An estimate to illustrate: 10mobs x 150 xp per poison x 3 poison types=4500xp. And the MOBs are continually dying and respawning. If pet gets too hurt throw a ranged stimpack at him.You can alsoadd in single target poisons,if the MOBs aren't dropping as fast as you'd like.

I have had no trouble filling my tress in this manner, but the crafting branch has been a bit of a pain; that final box looks like I will actually have to do the sit and grind, unfortunatley. If you can't make quality poisons, most more skilled CMs are happy to work out getting you started.

I haven't signed on since the big patch, but it sounds like us non-CHs can still use lvl15 pets, which are key to this as they make passable tanks. Also, the 1point rule might complicate this a little bit, but I think it will help. You will be sure to get in all three poisons before finishing off the mobs, and, sincethey didn't die only from poison, you will be able to harvest from them, which you couldn't before.

It appears I was wrong about poisons being good for experience. Everytime I had used an area poison I got swarmed and killed long before the targets died. Regardless the oversite has been corrected now, "Thank you" to those who explained that method.

I take it the real method for teh poison trick is to send your pet straight at a lair of weak creatures (nunas, gorgs, pharlples, chubas, paralopes, etc) then once a collection of things gather around it drop the area poison bomb?

Get yourself a newbie brawler that will take a while to take the lair down and you can do the same with him, and get XP for healing him as well, since he'll be taking shots from the spawned creatures. Now that combat medics can heal mind these sort of tactics become more viable since you can heal a bit of that damage as well. Just use taht mind heal sparingly, those 40 woulds to all three mind stats add up fast.

Possible 3 player grinding team: 2 Medics (1 at least a Combat Medic) and an Entertainer. The medics /tenddamage on the entertainer while they watch him/her. Then since you can't target yourself for /healmind, the 2 medics target each other and do a /healmind. The medics get a solid stream of medical XP and the dancer gets plenty of mind wounds. Though you have to have at least 0400 in combat medic, which isn't all that hard to get too. Never tried it but it sounds good to me.
On a side note, tehre are /ui action commands that can be used to target group members. If you track them down (I can't remember them) this whole process can probably be macroed entirely. I don't support fully automated macros like that, but since you probably don't want to be a CM your morals on the subject are probably different.

Medic XP is easy to get.... have all your Artisan friends go out and sample radioactives. Wow! Look at those wounds!

Heal away and have fun.
