the fire spider has dropeed me 3 fangs in 11 kills. It is not at all productive at this time. Did they nerf the drop rate to cope with the JTL demand on resources......... but they would have mentioned this I am sure - wouldnt they?

The reduced drop rate is something I believe that is happening across the board. At least, I've been told that all manner of MOBs aren't dropping nearly as much as they used to.


So my guess, it's a bug.
