A Combat Medic's "miss" is a resist. Please read the things our correspondent tells you, instead of flat-out ignoring him.

I understand that there is a resist, just as armor has resist to damage types. Still, other than "bio weapons are classified as medicine" no one has given me a good reason as to way CM's have a perfect throwing arm. IMO.

It seems that combat medics want the same priveledges as a support profession, squad leaders commands always taking effect for example. Without the restrictions of the combat professions...missing.

No matter how you look at it, resist IS NOT missing. Saying that is like saying stun armor is enough, because it has resist to stun. But a rifleman with a ion jawa should never miss.

I'm not ignoring you correspondent. He just hasn't answer any of my questions. He's ignoring me.

Weather conditions are not taken to effect in SWG which is why you can be on fire in the rain.

Actually the devs stated that weather does affect accuracy.

Please post a link to the thread. I would like to see for myself.

First lets look at a normal stim. Your running around being shot at from all sides and your trying to stick yourself with a needle. Why dont you miss the vein? The same is with our poisons. They never miss their target but they do get resisted. The problem is only the cm get the message it was resisted.

I already said in response to someone else that poisons should be classified as weapons. And should be subject to the same rules as every other weapon. It's fine that poisons get resisted.

But your arguement is this, "Poisons don't miss because they don't miss". The WHOLE discussion is based around the fact that they don't miss, we already know that. WHY don't they miss? What makes them as accurate as they are? Another question, WHY are the meds when they're obviously a CM's weapon?

First off CM poisons are offencive meds. The current system treats them like negative heals. Poisons and diseases are not treated like normal weapons due to the nature of dots. Traditional weapons like guns and swords do damage every time they connect while CM meds do no initial damage. Instead they run on a timer. Poisons dont miss for the same reasons stims and buffs dont miss, theyre medical.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unlike knives and guns poisons are biological. If I were to walk up to you an open a vile of nerve gas would it miss you? Such is the nature of an air born bio weapon. Poisons are considered medical which is why they dont appear under the weapons tab on the bazzar and vendors.

Exactly, poisons are biological weapons. Pistols miss at point blank range, even with immobile target. Flame throwers miss at point blanks range. Grenades miss at point blank, how likely is that? So yes, a poison should function under these same rules. You could classify them as furniture on the bazzar and it would still be incorrect; They are weapons.

Traditional weapons can miss but medical applications do not (see above). Instead of a miss there is a chance to resist. CM meds appear to never be resisted due to the fact only the cm gets the message the target resisted the poison.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why ranged heals don't miss is another subject. We could talk about that in another thread.

Ranged heals never miss because they are treated like every other medical application. How many times do we have to tell you?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No matter how you look at it, resist IS NOT missing.

Yes it does, you just dont see it, only the cm does.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But a rifleman with a ion jawa should never miss.

I sence jelousy All that talk about why we should miss like every other weapon and you turn around and say rifleman should never miss.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not ignoring you correspondent. He just hasn't answer any of my questions. He's ignoring me.

Actuly we have answered you, your just not listening. Silly Troll
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

no one has given me a good reason as to way CM's have a perfect throwing arm.

Who says CMs actuly throw the poison, this is starwars after all. I think you just dont know how poisons work.

Poisons are guided by a small targeting computer built in the casing and propelled by a anti gravity device. Upon impact the poison releases and is filtered through the dispersal mech which spreads the contaminents in a gasous cloud. Outside conditions quickly deteriate and kill the poison unless incubated in a living subject. Once absorbed in the body the poisons go to work untill there job is done, they die over time, or cured by a doc.

Kuddoo please read the archived threads. You are beating a dead horse here. You are one of many who have asked these very questions. We are tired of copy and paste answers from old threads to new ones.

A few CM issues as you know have been fixxed with great results. We CMs will agree more fixxes need to be in place. But please read about some of the fixxes that are in the pipe before crying about it.

You resist a poison - you dodge a bullet . . . . . .
