It's funny, because we're just as important. nay, MORE important, than Jedi to the Starwars universe. Who like Han Solo? Practically everybody. Who likes Luke? Like two people. And the only reason they liked him at all was because of his glowy shaft, and his little green muppet friend.
I actually thought about unlockin Jedi, but only for for the free alt. Never thought about actually being a Jedi.

Same here.
PS- Would Luke, the "all-powerful" Jedi survive without Han. Nope. Never woulda got off Tatooine in time. The Death Star would still be around without Han to knock Vader off Luke's tail. Etcetera, etcetera....

So you become a Fd'ing jedi?
Well, yes. I'm a rogue with a saber, is that a problem? That skill (FD) saved me many times over the last year and a half, and it continues to do so now, even more so as I avoid brutal xp costs for dying. It's the 1st smuggler skill I earned, and it's the last one I'll drop. I suspect Han Solo or Lando would have made pretty good jedi if they had been force sensitive! I seem to recall Han invited Luke to join him as well...
Don't misunderstand me. It's my opinion that the iconic Smuggler should be the best profession in the game--the one most filled out and implemented. It was my 1st elite mastery, and the one I held all through my hologrind. I was being somewhat facetious in my post above, but my frustration (like others here) is bourne out of having been here so long and seeing all the un-fulfilled promises made to the smugglers. I went from hope, to patience, to frustration, and finally to apathy. I was here when they nerfed feign death (it was so much better before...), when they nerfed panic shot (who remembers the lowblow-panicshot-spamlastditch combo? sweet), and when the chefs took away the spice market. When I finally earned my jedi, and had to start dropping skills, it was made easier to do for one reason--this half-finished prof hasn't gotten any love since launch and the revamp is still months and months away. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

No self respecting TRUE Star Wars fan would have a Jedi character in this game, PERIOD. It's fundamentally wrong to have hundreds of *prequel* "jedi" running around and meeting as the "Jedi Council"... yeah, that's right "JEDI COUNCIL" maybe I missed something a while back... BUT AREN'T THEY ALL DEAD!!! And a new one wasn't started until WAAAAYYYY after Episode 6... it's absolutely ridiculous to have JEDI... Isn't it bad enought that we've got that horrible KOTOR 1&2 messing up the History of Star Wars... now this game and "Star Wars Fans" are screwing up the movie timelines... people like this make me sick.

Every day when I travel to and from my job, as a Graphic Designer at a Newspaper, and during the summer when I take trips to the beach with my Star Wars friends (half of which are women,BTW) And during the winter when I'm snowboarding on one of the beautiful mountains surrounding where I live. I'm just a die hard Star Wars fan. Let's take a look at the evidence on you shall we...
Over 1000 posts...
At least 2 Characters...
One of 2 said Characters is a Jedi...
So I guess you should be asking yourself the same question... But I don't want to argue. Let's just leave this post alone, It was dead, let it stay there.

I respec'd on Friday night and dropped it all to go back Grand Master Entertainer again. I just don't do the combat thing I suppose.

I respec'd one of my Master Dancers (don't be shocked..I still have 5 more master dancers on live servers)to all combat and I'm having fun with her. Still going through the learning stage..there are definite drawbacks to playing professions that you didn't learn box by box. I'm really happier with combat post-CU though.

I have had lots of fun with combat post-CU too, even though I am CL54, I feel that when I'm grouped with a CL80 character I can go anywhere they can and make a good impact.

I am likeing combat Post-Cu as well. I find that grouped with CL80 friends, It hardly makes a difference that I am only 54.. I contribute to the group in more ways then just doing Damage. I can give Insperations, and I entertain.. hehe.. The other night I noticed a group mate was not wearing any boots.. so I made sure to mention that if he stepped in Gurk Poo he was not getting into MY AV-21 .. then I offered to let him use my Black Heels.. hehe funny funny..
