You need Combat Medicine Experimentation for schematics granted in the Combat Medic profession and Medicine Experimentation for schematics granted in the medic and doctor professions.

I should have clarified my original post, sorry. All you need to be considered a 12pt CM is a total of +20 CM Experimentation. I listed the assembly tapes but should have said they are a separate entity. They just help during the crafting process.

The more experimentation tapes you have the lower the complexity of the item you craft helping towards more "amazing successes" but only slightly.
The more assembly tapes you have the lower the complexity AND the higher the type of success rate you'll have per experiment attempt giving you more "amazing successes" but on a much greater level.
In other words if you're at +20 experimentation and have to choose between a +5 experimentation tape or a +5 assembly tape, the assembly tape would have a greater impact. Of course having both would be even better

No modifier changes the complexity. Starting complexity is determined by the draft schematic, and the complexity increases by 1 every time you experiment. The assembly tapes don't affect experimentation, they only affect the assembly role (less important now that critical failures on assembly were removed). Experimentation tapes not only grant an extra point for every +10, they also help with every experimentation roll. So, even if you have +20 to experimentation, it's better to get another +5 experimentation than to get +5 assembly.

I seem to be broken.. I am a master CM with an additional +21 points of CM experimentation in CAs and I am only getting 5 experimentation points to work with. Has anybody else ever experienced this issue?

You dont have CAs still, right? You already put them in clothing you wear while experimenting?

yes they are in clothing and I am wearing them.. in the skills modifier box it says I have +121 for combat medic experimentation but I am still only getting 5 points to experiment with. Even without the clothes I should get at least 10. I have filed a CSR ticket but nobody is answering me.. It has been 4hrs so far. grrrr

Give them time, best I got was 2 hours, worst was about 3 days so far.

You have to be standing next to a crafting station. IF its near other crafting stations you have to be right up on it, to be safe just walk inside it. Maybe this is it?

When making regular stims or woundpacks, or any of the medic/doctor components, you will ony have 5 points. Those items use your medicine experimentation modifier. Your CM experimenttion modifier only takes effect when you are crafting CM components or CM goods (poison, disease, ranged or area stims).
