Becuase of FS point si don't have enough points to go Master CM so i was wondering what the highest potency effectiveness mind posions can be made and still be under 75 MU.

Only area C poisons need to be experimented down to get below 75CM med use....Area Bs and single B poisons do not. I am not sure of the exact numbers, but 75CMU area C poisons will be slightly better than Area Bs.

i heard that combat medic did a mind poison to a jedi the other night and it was 701 damage per tick
is that possible? can any master combat medic do that or is that just very elite poison packs and cm effectiveness tapes bonus

Anyone else see a problem with the numbers here? The maker of the packs made the claim that there was no spider venom used. To reach a damage level as high as 700 without venom would take an awesome pack used by a master CM. Any poison thrown by a master CM will tick for an even number, because our CM effectiveness doubles the effectiveness of the pack. I also tried to back calculate how good the pack would have to be for a 4xx4 CM to hit for 701. A 400 effectiveness pack would hit for 700, a 401 pack would hit for 701.75, which I believe would show a 702 tick.

I see a big problem there. A dabbler seems to lose out on only a small % of the effectiveness instead of a larger amount. This just reinforces that fact that the gap between master and dabbler is tiny. At just about every other profession the difference between 4/4/4/4 and master is HUGE. Heck dabblers lose out on a minor 3-5m of throwing range.....

Now as far as the "awesome pack" issue...well its not really that awesome. I have non-enhanced poisons that are 323 power that I made back when I was a 10pt CM. Thats making a 646 tick poison. If I can fit in another 27 points of effectiveness it becomes a 700 tick poison. Since spider venom power values are directly added to the crafted base then stuff reaching 400+ effectiveness is made possible (800 tick). Of course I'd have to rely on the base potency from the ARC's which is kinda shaky when going up against resists.

Hey Psionic....can we work to nerf dabblers in the alpha?

I was refering to a 350 effectiveness non-venom pack. I'm pretty sure that's at or near the theoretical max with perfect resources. My real issue with the original post is that a tick of exactly 701 isn't possible. A master CM can't get an odd number on a poison tick.

Yes and no. In general you are correct that we can't craft a 701 tick C pack. The original poster might have seen someone with high BF that caused an odd number to pop above their head though and gone from there.... or they could have made it up. There have been a number of times also where I've had poisons that ticked higher or lower than what the effectiveness should have had them doing.

BF only affects disease, so I'm leaning toward the 'made it up' answer.

It is possible to stack multiple poisons so that it seems as if they are just one poison. For example you can stack over 2k tick with normal poisons if you stack them excatly at the same time when the other poisons tick.

I don't think that is possible since you have the 4 second delay between applications. Basically, eachpoison, that is properly applied, will tick 10 seconds afterit sticks.
