I'm thinking of going: MCM, MPistoleer, and BH 3/0/0/0 so I could disease me some Jedi!

Disease may be useless, but poison and fire can be thrown faster than doc's can heal. I thought I'd go a different route on TC and try defending against a CM, but it can't be done. I was master doc, master carbineer, and CM 4000 and got beat handily by a CM. I couldn't stop the dot's fast enough from the CM/doc/ partial pistoleer. I ended up not even doing any damage with my carbinebecause I was busy trying to stop his poison and fire. I did manage to root him a few times with crippling shot, and KD him a few times with chargeshot, but it was useless he'd just stand up and throw another dot at me.

Having used CM in live for a few months now I know how strong they can be in one on one, but in live the doc's can usually keep up and eventually beat me, not after the Curb.

Oh, and I wanted to add, the poison innoculation was useless, it seemed likehe hit me everytime with it, and I wasn't able to cure the fire or the poison on every first try either. It was a long duel but once I started running out of mind the battle started losing.

I must say, in the past few days of some combat changes on TC CM has shown to be quite an effective profession along with BH and will give almost anyone a hard time in PVP. I noticed many other TC players figured this out quickly and will be one of the most popular dabbling or master professions in the CU and eventually might get the nerf bat.

Nothing more fun than sticking a stoppingshot, underhand, root, disarming and finish off with bodyshot while the DOTs tick.

My original plan was MBH MCombat Medic. However, test server contained high damage weapons with lower action cost so it made the template very poor. I found that you could stack other professions and take down a cm before his fire and poison do its damage. Then weapons and action cost got nerfed to high hell. Commando weapons now take 136 cost and you can blow it in 4 shots. They lowered the damage so you could take about a quarter of health off and your out of action now. Any healing profession can heal that back up and take you out slowly. Where the combat medic shines now is the DPS over time with no action cost. Before the weapons would kill the cm fast but now you can wait out the ticks and finish them.

I think they went too far on the weapons nerf. Its going to force everyone to be a CM now. Another note is a cm vs doc duel can take all day long. Its sorta stupid. The best combo now is cm/doc something else. You can poison fire them and just heal up until the tick wears them down and shoot the last shot for the win. I am not sure the devs wanted combat to be this lame. Action cost kill you. They need some basic auto attack that does lower damage without the TOO TIRED message. OH I'm too tired to pull this trigger. Sigh..

I've been using MBH/M-carbineer/0400 CM.....It's got a huge fun factor, mege def., and a pretty decent offense. I love this template and will definately take it live regardless of any tweaks made. Its just to cool to change anything unless they totally destroy it. SO far I have won a great deal of my duels and done very well as an offensive and semi support role in PVP...

Dont be surprised if CM see's a heavy handed nurf. Last night everyone and their mom that was dueling with any level of success was combining some form of CM. It isimpossible for a non medic template to compete at all with poison, disease, fire, and a bleed all ticking on you at once. You just cant keep up with a 60 sec timer on stims.

I need to ask this as well. On TC I was trying out many things. I always got my butt handed to me any time a CM showed up. So I decided to try it out. As a CM and TKM I was able to land all 4 DOTs, then watch as my fire and poision did about 200 damage per tic, each. The action and mind de-buffs did wonders as well. And these DOTs are much better than commando ones because they stick for like 5 mins.

When I looked at my damage from TKM specials, I realized I was doing about 500 points of damage, with roughly 250 getting through the enemies armor. So in effect, by using the DOTs (which ignore armor), I was almost trippling my damage output, with no increase in my action/mind costs. Also, the de-buffs effectivly kept my opponents from throwing the heavy specials back at me.

I didn't even need to use the extra healing from bacta.

I'm wondering what is the down side for CM at this point? Because I'm really not seeing one.

Probably because Pistols are part of the "crowd control" catagory. Hit your DOTs, then keep shooting your opponent with stoping shotuntil they are burnt to the ground. Pike would probably be a great combo too.

Greetings!

I'm master cm + master pike atm @ TC, I have to tell this is a great combo. Intimidate, warcry, fire, poison, disease, impale, great healing ability. U can be a honorable support char or just solo things. U are good in pve and in pvp aswell. I'm very excited really want to test this template in Farstar

I was MCM/Mpistols/Doc0400 and was very pleased with it. With so many CM's coming any template without 0400 doc will get wasted
