Your range varies on the quality of your resources, what type of component you use(Adv or standard), and amount of experimentation points you assign to charge.

With above average resources for Advanced Dispersal Mechanism, you should be able to craft Poison/Disease pack with a base range of 32 without any experimentation, which equates to 64 meters at Master CM level.

Rifleman may not be a bad profession to compliment CM but it leaves you vulnerable against another Combat Medic. Not only that, you will most likely have low health and action becuase of the demanding mind pool allocation, so you will be vulnerable to damage. I suggest good armor protection.

I was going to make a topic like this, but I guess I'll just ask on this thread.

I've made a new character on Sunrunner. I was thinking of going Combat Medic/Creature Handler. Has anyone tried this combination? I know I would be vulnerable, but I kind of like the aspect of being deadly without personally fighting. I could be a nice addition to a group by letting my pets tank and I would be able to pay attention to everyone else's healing needs. I mostly just wanted to know if anyone else has tried it and if so, which profession did they master? I realize I can only master either CH or CM.

The problem with your template is that if you master combat medic, which is necessary for you to be succesful in this profession, it'll leave you only 18 skill points once you reach Novice CH.

With the new changes that will be implemented for creature handler, you can no longer acquire a powerful creature just by selecting the left two trees within CH profession, therefore you'll be severely limited in effectiveness as a combatant using your creature. In addition to that, you will not have ANY weapon skill what-so-ever except for Novice Marksman and Ranged weapon support specialist.

I have not done any skill point calculation for master CH with CM skill, but it's a moot point because you will not be effective as a dabbling CM.
